The Proposition (2005,  R)
The Proposition 3.5 Stars
"I have a proprosition," sends all to purgatory. Sun baked richness of the film immerses you in it's heat, dust, and filth, no civilization except for a woman's garden. That proposition and the promise to bring civilzation to this hell condemns them all.Be careful of inviting the Devil to dinner,he most likely will except.

It is fantasy, simple and some what opaque, just a myth brought to screen as many myths are told with great exaggeration, but you forgive all of this when viewing the WOW visual effects, true eye-candy! For a good time this vampire movie should do it.

Dark City (1997,  R)
Dark City 4.0 Stars
What is reality? What makes us human? Before the Matrix, there was Dark City, a science fiction/film noir that explores the question; are we the idea or dream of another being? Do we allow ourselves to be what others think us to be? I was entertained by the Matrix, I was inspired by Dark City.

Cool list! I'm interested to see how Donnie Darko stands the test of time. I really (REALLY) liked it and am wondering if it's going to be considered a 'classic' ten or twenty years from now(?).
