I knew before the movie started that there would be a lot of fx in this flick,but I did not know how the story would develop through two and a half hours of massive destruction. In many ways it's a predictable story but there was one element that got me thinking......who should get a chance to survive to start the brave new world when the dust settles?...the wealthy people ? their money is no good when there's no economy....the young ? who have a long life ahead of them (hopefully) or the old ?who have a lot of experience. It's an impossible nut to crack cause no matter what solution we come up with it will not be good enough. Roland Emmerich has delivered another good adventure movie filled to the brim with lots of fx and destruction. I think it's great entertainment if it's not taken too seriously :0) |
