Great topic, but I feel Chris was very boring and he didn't ask enough tough questions. I mean it did inform me, I never knew the Afican American hair industry was worth so much! I had a vague idea the lengths some go to for their hair, but in reality it's much farther than I thought. I would love to see another film made by someone from outside the African American community and asking tougher questions to the people involved in the business. |

| Heima (Sigur Ros: Heima) - Unrated | I may be biased, seeing as I live in Iceland, but this is one of the most amazing advertisements for coming to Iceland! Leaving aside the fact that Sigur Ros music, to me anyway, IS Iceland, then you have the beautiful way this film is shot. I had been looking forward to this last year, but it never showed up, so I was excited to catch it lately. While it wasn't scary, there was some suspense and a surprise or two, with a couple of nice short story like pieces in it. The short animation this is based on, with pumpkin head, or whatever he is called, is pretty cool though. |
