flilppant and skittish, this brought to mind the Krystof Kyslowski TROIS COULEURS trilogy. Great film of failure, and cliche.
Fight Club

fight club - it's like it ALWAYS existed, such an obvious cult film. watched it again last night and it's STILL totally worthy of 5 stars for direction, script, acting. Great, great film.

Blade Runner
R
the ultimate near-future mind-fuck -- a visionary adaptation of a very different book by Philip K Dick

Amadeus

there's something very special about this film. I know it's not a moment-for-moment biography. I know it's a stage adaptation but it feels less so than, say, a wretched film like Irreversible -- it's got heart, it's got pathos, it's got quality throughout.

Audition (Ôdishon)
R
you're wondering how I can give this FIVE STARS, right? Well, I've just watched it a second time. And you know what? It may no longer be my all-time favourite film, but it's still worthy of its 5**** rating.

C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Man Bites Dog) (It Happened in Your Neighborhood)
NC-17
saw this in a cinema in France - stunning debut student film worth a million of anyone's seed funding.
