Even though they have transplanted the story from Northern England to the U.S. and John Constantines hair has gone from blonde to black, this is a great telling of the Hellblazer comic book.

What can isay!?!
This film totally blew me away, the special fx are out of this world, the best since LOTR and Jurassic Park.
It actually has a half decent story too, not too complicated for kids and not too stupid for adults. I was really surprised at how much i enjoyed this movie and can't recommend it enough!
If i was still a kid, i would be out pretending to be Optimus Prime right now, FANTASTIC!
34
Escape from New York (1981,  R)
Escape from New York
How cool is Kurt Russell in this movie?
How many iconic cult actors can you fit in one film!?!
A break from horror for John Carpenter this one and he ventures into sci-fi comic book fantasy brilliantly.
Some of the one liners in this are priceless and how Russell maintains his tough icy demeanour throughout the movie is amazing.
The action never lets up either and all the characters are a joy to behold.
You will be rooting for Snake until the end, i still do and i have seen it about 20 times!
35
30 Days of Night (2007,  R)
30 Days of Night
Quite frankly one of the best horror movies to be released in a while. Kudos for being aimed at the mainstream and keeping it brutal too!
The vampires in this movie are one bunch of evil ba**ards, not the dreamy, romantic and gothic type we have had our fill of lately.
Acting is of a high standard and the feeling of isolation that the characters are in comes across really well, much like John Carpenters The Thing.
As i said their is lashings of gore and i think if there is a directors cut of this film to be released on dvd, it will enhance the movie even further. I say this because the plot sometimes seems to jump a fair distance making you ponder what is missing from the story, but this is just a small gripe.
See it, enjoy it.
