Julie Christie showcases a satirical look at mid-sixties London life. Nominated for 5 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director (John Schleshinger), and Best Actress winner! Many of the social behaviors that this film takes on is quite remarkable for it's time. This is definitely a movie that should get more play than it has. Saying that - Julie Christie shines here almost as much as my all time favorite film of her's, Doctor Zhivago (also in 1965).

Bangkok Love Story

The men are beautiful and the plot is dangerous. A hired killer is set to kill a beautiful young man, but says he can't kill a good man. Thus the real story begins, a love story. Gritty made movie with action and realism that you don't always see in a gay movie. I would recommend this to anyone, gay or straight who likes a good foreign film.

Am I a sucker for a pretty face (and I am not talking of the female lead)? Maybe. I have to say, finding a movie like this is the reason that I joined an online movie rental club. I loved this movie. I would have never seen or heard of this film. Well acted. Simple story. Finding yourself through others and forgiving yourself. I like what I like and I REALLY enjoyed this one. Thanks!

Te doy mis ojos (Take My Eyes)

I thought I had this one figured out from the beginning. Wife fleeing from an abusive husband. Only to take him back. So, what's the ending? Is she dead or is he? Like she says towards the end of the movie. I really don't care what you do. NICE! Good movie, see what happens.

Hey, you should really see this! Maybe I was a little over the top concerning the performances. It is a worthy movie though.

I am wondering why I did not hear anything about this movie in the theaters. It was in the theaters? The performances were outstanding and the scenery startling. This is where all those factories go that close down in my area. Not to mention my own company with a huge complex there. Wow! Is all I can say, this is a eye opener.
