    Plot:
Based on the Victorian horror novel written by Bram Stoker in 1897, about the vampire Dracula, who is on a quest to be eternally reunited with the one woman he ever loved. Dracula travels from Transylvania to London to find the young woman who is the double image of the love he lost centuries earlier.

I'M IN LOVE WITH COUNT DRACULA

Yes . Sasha is in love with this film . It's gothic but still wonderful and beautiful , rather than too-bloody Sweeney Todd and too cheesy Twilight , Bram Stoker's Dracula is in the middle of it and i can admit Christian Dracula is my favourite vampire , rather than Edward Cullen . Most of all , Francis Ford Copolla id a magical things to this movie even with some freaky scenes , all the things were hypnotizing me to watch this movie without winking my eyes .

Inspirative . Bram Stoker's Dracula inspired Sasha . Beneath those miraculous Gothic Victorian Love Story , it served nice art directing and beautiful costumes .

Magical actors . From Wynona Ryder , Gary Oldman as the best Nosferatu so far , Anthony Hopkins as a realistic Van Helsing to Monica Belluci . Minus Keanu Reeves , he's pretty bad here .

FANCY . Poem , The Brit accent , the letters reading , the magical spells and the Gothic score .
It was fancy , without losing its quality as a Gothic movie .

    At the end,
Bram Stoker's Dracula can enter My List : My favourite film of all time . I don't care if people give it as ugly movie . I'M IN LOVE WITH IT .

A partially true story about lies told, virtue lost and love found

    A MIDIEVAL ROMANTIC COMEDY

Heath Ledger . The most 'shining' things in Casanova , also as my reason to watch this movie . And he proved that he was the best actor here , beating Siena Miller so far away , and you can see how she sunk away by Heath's glimpse .

Casanova is a total refreshment me , a romantic comedy with style and Heath Ledger . Gave me pleasure and smile :) after watching it , with pretty Venice view and insane exaggeration comedies which were totally fun-to-watch .

Even with such a happy ending (Just like it's far away from the history) and Sienna Miller's extra-bad acting(She needed to be replaced by someone like Kate Winslet or Maggie Gyllenhaal at least). Still , Casanova is worth-to-watch .

    SKATE FOR DREAMS

A heartwarming movie with heartwarming TV-potential casts .
Well , ice princess showed us dilemma of some youngsters , to pick our hobby as our future-road or having university . But , even with pretty nice morals , still there was lots of non-sense things , like :
1 . A geek meant to be total geek(Oh please , there's no one who will talk about physics all of the time)
    2. A party-goers meant to be jocks
    3. The bulliers meant to be popular
    4. Each of the contestant always have their own style , far different from the other contestants

But , it was pretty boring with wierd skating show from Michelle Trachenberg and it was non-sense for her to skate that way and win . There's still lots of artistic contestants there .

I think there was some mis-cast here , just like how you picked Michelle Trachenberg who was surrounded by 12 years old looking kids (Inc. Hayden Panettiere) .

Actually , it can be a pretty nice movie if it was directed just like I NOT STUPID . But , unfortunately it wasn't impressive at all , even with Kim Catrall .

    2. Australia may contains voices or even pictures from the dead Aborigins .

HOW TO MAKE SMOOTH AND CREAMY ''DESERT"

    Utensils & Ingredients :
    - The Moulin Rouge director , Baz Luhrmann
    - Nicole Kidman , who can acted in both comedy performance and drama performance
    - Hugh Jackman , along with firmed muscly body, okay acting skill.
    - Aborigin's people
    - An extraordinary extravagant dreamy music , including "Somewhere over the rainbow", taken from the movie , Wizard of Oz
    - An Australian desert
    - Great crews who have feminine artistic sense of taste
    - Shooting properties

    How to make it?
    1. Let Baz mixes and organizes them all , Baz is the most important 'utensils' here .
    2. Let Baz assists the lightning , the cinematography , the view and everything else . Including the desert , the classical inspiring costumes .
    3. Put Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman , to make a nice chemistry between the 'Actress of the world' and 'The superhero you'll love' .
    4. Put some Aborigins , including a little kid with high curiosity and dream
    5. Put the music , make it to be a dreamy , feminine , artistic yet posh .
    6. Let Baz made it just like an art-piece moving picture
    7. Label it with the tag 'Australia', to make a great impression just like 'Casablanca' .
    8. Then , it's done . It'll be your favourite end of the year smooth and creamy dessert .

    BEST WHEN IT'S FRESH!

    Note:
Get ready for the failed "the next Gone with the wind" but one of 2008's best dessert . An epic presentation with laugh , love and drama from Baz Luhrmann .

An epic love story that will be the next Gone With the Wind.

    Rated: (PG-13)

    Directed by: Baz Luhrmann

    Genres: Drama

Starring: Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, David Wenham

    THE MOVIE OUTLINE

"In northern Australia at the beginning of World War II, an English aristocrat inherits a cattle station the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn stock-man to drive 2,000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country's most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia, by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier. "

    MY APPRAISAL

I guess I underestimated this Baz Luhrmann's epic escapade a little too much. I checked on rottentomatoes.com and I guess the 52% is so unholy.

A magnificent motion picture that works on numerous levels.

Australia is definitely an exhilarating escapade, a rousing picture, and a flowing romance tale that leads to the resurrection of the western folks. It only took me to warm up my ass, sit nice, and enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Australia. It took 3 hours for what is worth.

What director Baz Luhrmann did superbly in the movie is he provide something with majestic fascination throughout the movie, especially both at the opening and closing scene.

Australia is a testimony that Baz Lurhman is one of the most honored director in our era and also a master at producing such gorgeous work of arts. The gripping Aboriginal culture and its connection with nature are nevertheless Luhrmann's fine idea. This is where the heart and soul of this movie lies, within the conventions and myths of Australia's indigenous people.

Both the two leading actor and actress are nice, but there's not much to talk about beside they succesfully made the viewers root for the character (thanks to the 3 hours duration). And that young boy Nullah brought terrific debut performance.

Australia was an utterly gripping and emotional tale about trust and survival. It's one of the most tear-jerking movie of the year. You know when mostly people say that Moulin Rouge! was Luhrman's finest work, I'm standing against the mainstream. Call me a lunatic but I honestly think Moulin Rouge was ridiculous since watching a musical never was my finest hour. I do like Romeo and Juliet though, but I prefer this latest Luhrmann's creation a lot better.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape What's Eating Gilbert Grape
    by V
Arnie knows a secret. His big brother Gilbert is the greatest person on the planet.

    Rated: (PG-13)

    Directed by: Lasse Hallström

    Genres: Drama

Starring: Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Juliette Lewis

    THE MOVIE OUTLINE

"Gilbert Grape lives in Endora, a place where nothing much happens. The only times the police got something to do is when Gilbert's autistic brother Arnie tries to climb up on the watertower nearby. Taking care of Arnie is mostly Gilbert's task which can be pretty demanding, at least while you are working at the local grocery store. Then one day Becky and her grandmother passes through Endora getting trouble with the car. Gilbert falls in love with Becky, but gets problems when he tries to find time for his own private life."

    MY APPRAISAL

Well the thing with What's Eating Gilbert Grape is I don't know for certain why I love it. This kind of family story had been told to us many times and they all failry similar. The storyline is exteremely plain and simple, yet very forgettable. Just imagine how very undistinguished the movie would be if the casts were ones who couldn't do strong and captivating performances like Depp and DiCaprio did.

Johnny Depp was terrific. His performance was sincere. Though I didn't exactly recall anything that happen between him and Juliette Lewis since the story focused on what happened between Gilbert and Arnie. Besides, he and Juliette Lewis have zero chemistry. And just how sweet Gilbert treats his brother, Depp showed how Gilbert sincerely love Arnie and he'd do anything in the world to protect him.

Me myself as a die hard fan of Johnny Depp couldn't believe I say this, but all eyes on the teenage DiCaprio. He was a stand out, he stole the show like he actually was standing in the spotlight. His performance as Arnie was very convincing, I was totally stunned. He portrayed Arnie Grape as a fragile kid but very cute and lovable. It's not hard for the viewers to fall in love if his character and adore the connection he and Johnny had here. To me, he outshined almost everyone in the movie and I wanna see more and more of him eversince.

A simple story, but very enchanting and flowing.

High School Musical High School Musical

A movie loaded by CRAPPY THINGS which i could not count how much , the crappy things are countless . I never knew why it's so popular and why people like it so much . This movie is not quality teen movie , it's not even better than soap opera and this movie should not be called 'A movie' it should be called 'A soap opera with movie's time' and the story is not even 'more' than the kids shows , everything just way too predictable and what's good about so not creative music ?
What's so hot about the casts? Especially the untalented in acting Zac Efron , he's better as coverboy than movie star .
The dancing just so-so , (again) this is not more than dancing competition in national elementary (C'mon....have you ever seen Step up , Take lead , Chicago? They are a lot lot more better than this crappy high school musical)
The music , oh ho ,this is the best point of this movie( If the music just BAD , i think i could not give half star more) , the music is so-so but enjoyable and didn't make me sleepy and it's very pop but ya...ok lah...
    The cinematography?SOAP OPERA
The setting ... less dramatic and not even better than my local movie "BBB"

But , THE POINT IS THEY NEVER STUDY . Maybe East High is only school which only teaches singing and dancing perfectly .

we study in a our dream school then..

    SCHOOL IN OUR DREAM

A CRAP SHOW IN A CRAP MUSICAL WITH CRAP CAST .

The most unrealistic holiday experience of high-school students who never study as hard as us .

HSM is always only as a story for kids or depressed teens who always dream about a very happy school with musical aura .

Funny? No! Sunny ? Yes ! Crap? Yes ! Cute? No!

I'm sick of HSM , they show the impossible live of teenagers to all the teenagers .

Well , youth-time should be fun and cheerful but it doesn't mean you'll go holiday together with one class , IT'S IMPOSSIBLE .

HSM always served story just like any sinetron in Indonesia , simple story for kids only .

HSM let the lil' kids think that high school gonna' be fun and no study at all , to graduate all you have to do just sing and dance prettily . If it's in real life , so i can consider that East High School where Troy Bolton studied should be closed for good . OH PLEASE , THEY CAN JUST ENJOY THEIR HOLIDAY TOO CHEERFULLY !

"bloody hell is not for Edward Cullen"

    PAIN IN THE TWILIGHT

Almost every girl in my school are in love with Edward Cullen but i'm not .

First of all , i thought Robert Pattinson would be an eye-candy to me(well ,he was very gorgeous when he was Cedric Diggory) . But , they truth said wrong , he looked not as handsome(not eye-candy at all) as i thought , his chin was very pointed because of the demand to be as skinny as Edward Cullen . But , he's pretty good as the annoying Edward Cullen and could give me another impression about the 'sometimes cool' Ed Cullen .
Then , about the SUPER ANNOYING Kirsten Stewart as Bella . Oh please , be more lively , she's too dark and look-a-like super depressed old lady . The rest of the casts also crap . The casting people are so 'blind' . Can they differentiate between charming peoples and not-so-charming people , except Carlisle Cullen and Edward Cullen , the Cullens aren't charming at all , especially super-miscast on Rosalie , she's not as super-pretty as the book had written and she's a FASHION DISASTER .
Actually , the clothes for the movie are fashion disaster , they can make any critic peoples cursed them , oh please, the costume designer need to be changed !! We need more stylish people in Forks not fashion disasters(even the prom dresses were so lame)

    Flixster - Share Movies

Then , the speed-of-light moving scenes , it's not even better than third world country's effect . OMG ! Isn't it possible because of lack of sufficient ?

The directing things also crap . After reading the book , i imagined of a dark Big Fish mixed with Bram Stoker's Dracula and a bit' Gossip Girl , and it turns out like show for pre-teens who believe true love with vampire and how the vampire was very very kind and the girl was not aggressive at all .

Well , if there's someone compared Twilight's Edward & Bella with Titanic's Jack & Rose or Romeo & Juliet's Romeo & Juliet , they are completely out of their mind . Ed-Bella just a couple of freaky teens(true love , eat your own heart!) , which are VERY CLICHE . I hope there's someone unpredictable ruining their relationship soon(There's should be a tempting aggressive person in Twilight) or i hope Edward Cullen or Isabella Swan died and never comeback as an alive person .

    Flixster - Share Movies

What made me appreciate it just because of its score . The most entertaining point in the movie , the score can be compared to Transformer . Well , i can say the score is the soul of the movie .

At the end, Twilight is nothing if you compared it with Titanic , Romeo and Juliet or even The Notebook .
