The Acid House The Acid House Unrated
Nowhere near the genius of Trainspotting, but it was still pretty well made and I was glad to see Irvine Welsh himself wrote the screenplay. The overall production did feel more like a made for television movie, yet all three stories were very well done. The Granton Star Cause was perfectly adapted and really entertaining along with the Acid House, they lacked the same punch of reading them, yet it was fun to see them come to life. I actually enjoyed the Soft Touch more in the film than the actual story it was extremely well acted. So overall a real fun trip that wasn't extremely well made, but still really entertaining. It's got an amazing soundtrack and Scottish director Paul McGuigan did a good job with Welsh's great script. It's very disturbing and fascinating and fans of the hardcore drug fantasy world of Welsh will love it.
2012 2012 PG-13
Just terrible again I guess it's not as bad as 10,000 B.C. but that film was ungodly terrible. The special effects were pretty good considering I'm so numb to CGI they did get some orginality. However, all the characters are just lame and the story is way too ridiculous and only gets worse with the "shocking ending." So once again just another 3 hour disaster film that has only about 30 minutes of destruction spread throughout 2 1/2 hours of predictable dialogue and way too convenient scenarios. (It was like the world was coming to an end in a perfect way that only John Cusack could survive.) Oh Emmerich I will always watch your movies since you are one of the directors I love to hate, but mostly because I'm waiting for another Independence Day or Stargate though I think it'll never happen. Either way 2012 is just an unofficial sequel to The Day After Tomorrow and is basically the exact same thing substituting a wild storm for earthquakes and tidal waves.

classic movie. has a great script with so many quotes from it you could go all day. also all the stories are interesting and fun to watch.
Audition (Ôdishon) Audition (Ôdishon) R
this movie is nuts. it builds up really slow, but when it builds into the horror its amazing. definitely the most intense movie i have probably seen.
