I LOVE monster movies and this is one of my all time faves. Great monster effects, just enough blood and gore and a pretty good storyline make this a can't-miss movie for horror flick fans.
Without a doubt one of the more creepy gruesome ghost stories out there and with some of the most imaginative ghosts I've ever seen. This one even scared my mom and she thinks most scary movies are just plain dumb. LOL The critis pretty much hated this one - which usually means it's pretty good!
A very frightening movie. Had me hiding behind my popcorn in the theater! This is the perfect movie for people like me who enjoy being creeped out better than being grossed out. It's got all sorts of eerie suspense and it stars my favorite vampire slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar.
This movie is not for the faint of heart - or stomach but is for those of us who love a little gore with their ghoulies. However, the interesting story line balances nicely with the grossness and in the end turns out to be a pretty good movie. The critics even liked this one! And it did well enough to spin off 7 sequels - all just as hellish as the first. But don't you dare skip this first one!
this movie produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) has got to be one of the most awesome and memorable ghost movies ever made. The special effects were spooktakular - especially for a movie made in 1982. Ghosts, possessed clown dolls (ick!), murderous trees - this movie's got it all.
I love monster movies and this one quickly became one of my favorites. It has suspense, the edge of your seat, yelling at the characters to get the hell outta there, kind of stuff that, to me, is what makes a scary movie good.
This is one of those movies that really is so silly stupid that you can't believe you're watching it but by the end of the movie you're sure glad you did! And if you like a little giggle with your guts and gore, this should be perfect for you.
Spooky, campy vampire fun! Campy and corny as this movie may be - it is one of my all-time faves! It was probably this movie that got me started on my vampire kick! Just watch it - it's fun as well as spooky!
