The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It - PG Despite the fact that this movie has the typical horror movie storyline: moving to a new neighbourhood and all of a sudden loads of scary and heart-clenching things happen. Alex Zamm still managed to make this movie unique and spooky in a very different type of way.
Emily Osment really suited as the role of a girl who loves Halloween and to scare people, the girl with black hair and blue highlights, the girl with loads of eyeliner. It really was an experience to see her in something different and not as humourous. Where you can see the serious side of her.
This movie is about loneliness, regret and annoying brothers, and I thought everyone made their part of the movie extraordinary and definitely worth it!

Amadeus - R This movie was okay. It started off really slow and the movie was way too long for one sitting. I had a hard time coming into the story but after a while it became entertaining. Although the movie would jump back and forth to boring and entertaining ever-so-often.
I wouldn't see this movie more than once though, and it's not even a movie I'd see without being forced to see it!

Smother - PG-13 This movie certainly isn't worth buying, maybe if it cost £1 it would be okay, but sadly it didn't.
The acting was absolutely useless. I'm starting to realise now what an exceedingly annoying voice Liv Tyler has. Diane Keaton's trying her best to be funny, but failing. Mike White is boring and unnecessary, you could've taken his role away from the movie and it wouldn't even make a difference.
The only okay actor in the movie was Dax Shepherd but to be honest, he wasn't that good either.
I must tell you, this movie isn't worth watching twice, and maybe, not even once!

Dustbin Baby - PG This is a great example where the book was absolutely useless and the movie just took you by surprise and put a big fat smile on your face.
This movie was amazing, and even though you've read the book and hate it this movie is still definitely worth a look, because it will most certainly throw you surprises and definitely make your day!

I'm Reed Fish - PG This movie was extraordinarily unique and the soundtrack was absolutely mesmerizing but that still wasn't enough.
The movie was quite boring to be honest, and the whole movie was just a complex idea that was hard to even comprehend.
Some people might manage to find the good side of it all, but for me, it wasn't entertaining and I was certainly not hooked to the screen!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon - PG-13 This is the first movie that's based on a book that I've seen, where I actually prefer the book.
I read the first book after having seen the movie, not liking it one bit. As it wasn't at all like the movie that I loved so much. Then I set a goal for myself, saying that I should read the second book before the movie so I might not hate it as much, and ended up really enjoying it!
There were some things I really enjoyed about the movie, it was good acting even though at some parts you can't really see the love as much as you'd hoped.
I'd also hoped the ending wouldn't be as abrupt as it was, and some scenes you'd have a really hard time comprehending if you haven't read the book. But overall the movie is a great one, it's entertaining and will most certainly keep you hooked to the screen!

Shattered (Butterfly on a Wheel) - R This movie wasn't at all the way I'd expected it to be but it was still very good.
The amazing actors, Pierce Brosnan's brilliantly credible Irish accent and all the mind-boggling twists and turns certainly makes this movie worth a watch!

Poseidon - PG-13 This movie is quite like Titanic, although without the big love story. So this movie pretty much starts off with all the excitements and monster-waves and survivals and deaths.
I haven't been this dedicated to a movie for a long time, it was brilliantly made and I just couldn't take my eyes off it. Through pretty much the whole movie I was screaming and begging that everything would turn out okay, but for you to find out the ending you'll just have to see it yourselves.
Most definitely worth watching, maybe even twice!

Der Name der Rose (The Name of the Rose) - R Whilst watching this movie I tried really hard to think of the meaning of the movie. But I couldn't. Then I tried really hard to describe the movie in a few words. But I couldn't.
This is one of the worst movies I've seen for a long time, it was supposed to be a detective story with excitement and everything. But I just didn't get it. This story wasn't remotely exciting whatsoever. In fact it was rubbish, nothing ever happened and everything just went in slow-motion. All of a sudden some wacky scene comes up out of nowhere and you just start wondering what really happened? Where did that come from?
Okay, so these people are trying to find out who the murderer is to all these people who have been found dead. That sounds quite exciting, right? Wrong! This movie would've been everything I'd hoped for if it had just been made in the right way but it wasn't. It was made in a way that made me fall asleep. It was made in a way which made me just forget everything about it.
After having watched this movie I didn't have one single nice thought about it. A movie that I can't even describe in one word because my whole head gets dizzy when I think about the actual storyline. Because I hardly even know the storyline, isn't worth watching for a minute or recommending to anyone else who's bound to think the same!

Lord of the Flies - R I actually enjoyed this movie a lot more than I'd expected.
Despite the fact that it was all filmed on the exact same place and that not much happened I still found it really engaging and exciting.
It keeps you hooked to the screen and it's impossible to look away from it!

Secret Smile - Unrated Despite the fact that I've only seen this movie once which was more than a year ago I still have the movie stuck in my head rewinding to different scenes I just can't forget.
This is one of the most credible movies I've seen for a long time, it creeps you out, plays tricks on you and most certainly glues you to the sofa in front of the screen. The actors were brilliant, the storyline was amazing and this psychological thriller will mess with your mind and your brain, it will have you thinking about what really happened and all the twists and turns for an eternity afterwards and it will most certainly have you dreaming nightmares!

The Best Man - Unrated It was a while ago I saw this movie and can't really remember it that much but I remember really enjoying it. I remember sitting glued to the screen just wondering what will happen next.
The actors played their roles great and I can most definitely recommend it!

The Omen - R I was kind of expecting this movie to be a lot scarier than it was. To be honest I even thought it was boring from start to finish. Nothing happened, the storyline was complex and hard to comprehend.
On the other hand the actors acted their roles well, especially Julia Stiles, as it was a very different role for her. But the movie, overall, wasn't a good one. I had a hard time even bothering to watch it all.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer - R At least two of the lousy actors from the first movie aren't in the sequel but, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, happened to contain the same amount of screaming.
At first I thought that the sequel was even better than the first movie, but after a while I just wasn't too sure.
It was kind of the way you would've expected and to be a good horror movie you have to bring a lot of surprises.
Although this movie certainly did end with a cliffhanger that will stay in my head for an eternity!

I Know What You Did Last Summer - R I Know What You Did Last Summer might have four of Hollywood's worst actors and it might contain a lot of screaming but I still thought it was an okay horror movie.
It still made me jump when it should have and it still kept me hooked until the very end and it still made me shiver when I knew something scary was about to happen but I just begged it not to.
Even though the actors could've spent a little more time on making the movie credible than screaming I still thought it was a decent horror movie.

(500) Days of Summer - PG-13 This isn't the usual type of love story, or is it even a love story?
I liked the movie, it was unique and well made. It's romantic and it's funny, but is it a romantic comedy? I wouldn't say it is because this movie breaks all the rules.
I liked the way it was different, the way it wasn't like all the other movies I've seen.
It didn't start the way I'd expected and it certainly didn't end with the typical hollywood-movie ending.
That's why I like this movie, that's why it makes my whole heart tingle, because it's different and because the american directors have learnt to break the rules once and again!

Little Miss Sunshine - R This movie had a great cast, terrific acting and a spectacular storyline.
It was somewhat different and unique, kept you hooked from start to finish and most definitely made you laugh!

The Time Traveler's Wife - PG-13 I actually really enjoyed this movie. I liked the fact that it was complicated and that you have to look closely at the screen and be engaged to it to be able to comprehend the happening.
I thought the chemistry between Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana was okay, they did a good job and made this complex storyline entertaining all the way through.

A Ring of Endless Light - G I'm not a person who's a fan of animals and I usually don't like movies about animals but this one was different. It had humour, excitement, sorrow and romance. It was interesting and unique which made me actually enjoy it, from the absolute start until finish. October 6, 2009
