Four words: FILM OF THE YEAR. An amazing sequel. First off, Heath Ledger's performance is outstanding. Oscar worthy. The rest of the cast are on top form, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Gary Oldman are brilliant. The films running time is 2 hours 10 but the pace moves really quickly. This film proves that Christopher Nolan is one of the best director of our time. Roll on Batman 3. Why So Serious ?
This film will be a classic in years to come. I loved it, Mickey Rourke gives an amazing performance as Ram. Darren Aronofsky swings the complete opposite from The Fountain and delivers a great film with a head banging soundtrack. All the fight scenes were very realistic and entertaining. The story was faster paced than I expected which was good because It's shot like a documentary, the camera following Ram whereever he goes. Throughout the film you're rooting for Ram in everything he does andwhen end comes, it leaves you wanting more. Do not miss this rare gem of a film.
I finally got to see this amazing flick, and what an amazing film it is. Casey Affleck's acting is brilliant, i'm suprised he's so underated. I also was gob smacked by Ben Affleck's directing, he worked very well with this brother. The editing and music, plus the use of locations was great. Ben's directing is one not to be over looked for the future. Ed Harris put on another stella performance, along with Michelle Monaghan. This now one of my favourite cop thrillers.
What can I say about this classic film that hasn't already been said. First off, James Mangold's directing is spot on, the sounds and colours he uses makes the film. The cast are oscar performance worthy. Stallone is at his best since Rocky, Robert De Niro & Harvey Keitel put on a steller performance, which I haven't seen since this film was released. (minus Jackie Brown & Ronin for De Niro) The supporting cast are just as important, Robert Patrick and Michael Rapaport are so underrated. The ending is really well shot and is an underrated ending to a film to date. In my eyes this is one of the best cop films of the 90's. This is not Rambo, Goodfellas or Pulp Fiction. This is Cop Land.
First off, screw what other people and critics have said, its not rubbish. Its brilliant! If you like the first, you'll love the sequel. Remember it's based on a toy line about robots beating the crap out of each other. Michael Bay does his usual trademarks shots but with more o.t.t action, it doesn't stop. The SFX are so impressive, you can see where Michael Bay used the money. The robots are very well done, much like the first but shows a more in-depth look at them transforming. The story is enjoyable and even thought it is 147 mins long, it flys by. Shia Lebouf is back as enjoyable Sam and Megan Fox (hottest women on the planet) shows off the goods. This is the best film of the summer. And yes, I loved Star Trek but i'm more a Transformers fan. Now, im off to watch the first film, again.
From the first scene I knew this was Taratino's masterpiece. It's his best work for a while. Where do I begin, the acting was outstanding, the directing was on top form, the soundtrack was brilliantly different for a war film and the story was long but not drawn out. Brad Pitt was very enterianing to watch but the real acting talent was from Christoph Waltz as the evil Col. Hans Landa. Wheather you liked Death Proof or not, or any other Tarantino films, this is a must see. I wanna watch it again!
