In my opinion there is no finer film. Fincher's vision is amazing. Watch on repeated viewings the way Mills and Somerset rub off on one another. The way Mills is around his wife. Sommerset's devotion to the job that clearly depresses him. The score is fantasic. Visual effect are brilliant. It doesn't get much better. My all time top film. Yes there are a few quips with it but to be honest every movie has at least one. Often people i meet say they won't watch it as it's too scary. It's not the film that's scary. You never see any of the murders take place. U only see the aftermath, all the evidence. Fincher clevery shows you the pieces of the puzzle so that you imagine what happened. That my friends is the scary part. Your imagination. Which is why this film works so well. A great Non-Hollywood ending too. I hate the whole sugar coated endings of most movies churned out nowadays. If i watch a film i like to come out at the end, having been challenged by what i just saw. I like to drive back with friends or whoever or sit in cafe and start arguing about ifferences. I like to think. Here is an ending that you can give several different meanings too. I'd love to say stuff now but if people have not seen it i would ruin it for em. I have said enough. This movie rules.
Nikita (La Femme Nikita) Nikita (La Femme Nikita) R
My introduction to European movies. i was about 19 when i saw it and to this day i am blown away with it. Don't even bore yourself with the remake 'The Assassin'. Our heroine is the hardest kick arse woman on the planet. Look out for Jean Reno as Viktor the cleaner. Great restaurant scene when she is given her first assignment. It might be a little understated when i say that i love this film.
