| The Dark Knight - PG-13 | The only reason I liked this movie was for Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker, which is worth the five stars. His make-up was great, his lines were brilliant, and the way he delivered them was fantastic. I think that Christian Bale isnt good as Batman, he has no charisma at all. But heath ledger's performance makes it worth seeing. He'll put a smile on your face! | August 15, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Benny & Joon - PG | This film was terribly ridiculous, no real ending. It wasn't thougt out properly obviously, but Johnny Depp held up the entire film. Aidan Quinn was nice too. | August 15, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Hart's War - R | Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard were very good in this, but Bruce Willis wasn't great. | August 15, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Breakfast Club - R | I really loved this film, but what ruined the film for me, was the fact that Ally Sheedy got all girly at the end, and that was when Emilio Estevez decided to go out with her. Like she had to change herself for a guy, quite degrading. I did like the whole situation with the nasty principal though, very realistic and well handled. Good soundtrack and good acting all round. | August 15, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Capote - R | Phillip Seymour Hoffmann is fantastic, the voice, the mannerisms, amazing. It did seem to lack something, I don't know what. | August 12, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Zoolander - PG-13 |
This isn't a great film film, but it's hilarious! Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are comic duo geniuses! Ben plays Derek, a stupid model who wants to find out who he is, only to come home to work for Mugati, played by the legendary Will Ferrell, the top designer, who secretly plans for Derek to kill the Malaysian prime minister. Derek must hide out in the most unlikely place, Hansel's{Owen Wilson's) house, which ensues a hilarious confrontation,which starts with Wilson saying, "why have you been acting so messed up towards me?" all seriousness. It has a hilarious outcome, and a reason this is one of my favourites is because of it's amazingly hilarous script!
Hansel, he's so hot right now, Hansel. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are absolutely hilarious in this screwball comedy about how stupid Will Ferrel is also hilarious as Mugatu, the crazy designer. |

| Mean Girls - PG-13 |
The main cast in this film was great, but who really stood out for me was Rachel MacAdams as Regina George, the terrifyingly horrible popular girl who we've all had in our schools.
The way she acts all nice and interested is so convincing, but she's obviously not genuine. It was a great part really. I think in a way, Cady was the worst character in this film, because, like her friend Janice said "at least Regina and I know we're bitches, but you act so innocent...but you're a mean girl", and it's the truth. The only thing worse than an obvious bitch, is an 'innocent'one. Mark Waters directed this very well, as though he experienced it himself. The way he shows the girls giving 'sly eyes' to each other, in a subtle to most, but obviously to you kind of way. Truly excellent. Very well written too. |

| The Graduate - PG | Dustin Hoffman is great in this movie. It's a pretty sick plot, but it's all so easily handled that it doesn't seem so bad. The only thing that really made the movie great was the soundtrack by Simon and Garfunkel. I can't understand how Katherine Ross' character could so easily go off with Benjamin after what he did. That's mad. The scene when Elaine finds out, and you see her mum, in a corner, looking like death has become her, completely different to how the audience has previously seen her as the attractive, confident mother, is truly horrible. Benjamin is quite like Holden Caulfield in the way that he doesn't know what to do with his life, but we know he's not ill-intentioned, just confused. It's funny when Elaine's mum undresses, and he's looking around uneasily and saying oh my christ. | August 6, 2009 | N/A |
