Double Indemnity (1944,  Unrated)
Double Indemnity
Incredibly well paced Noir that has some of the best dialogue ever. Lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Barbera Stanwyck is awsome as the ultimate Famme Fatale. Who uses her beauty to get what she wants. Only suckers need apply! And McMurray, whom iam used to seeing in light fare, is brilliant with his snappy dialogue! I will now only see him as Walter Neff.
Well made and definatly at the top of my list. One of the best Noir's ive ever watched!

Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) (1981,  PG)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)
I love this film. With its religious dealings. Great adventure film. Might be my fav. Speilberg film?
3
Cidade de Deus, (City of God) (2003,  R)
Cidade de Deus, (City of God)
City Of God is as good as any crime film ive ever seen. Its right there with Goodfellas and Scareface. Sure they are totally different types of films but they still share that underworld element. I cant believe it took me this long to get around to seeing this. I just finished watching it and iam ready to watch it again.
The film is incredibly shot. I mean its fucking gorgeous...well as gorgeous as a Rio de Janeiro slum can get!? The story was so well told. The sectioning of the film into chapters made for great storytelling. There are so many characters to get to know. I think it would of been impossible to tell the story any other way. The camera work is great and the film is fucking brutal! The violence is shocking, yet never seems misplaced. Extremly powerful and true.
Highly recommended!
