I thought this movie was going to be a karate kid remake.This is a nice popcorn movie.The mixed martial arts is the real star of the film.The movie is about a kid from Iowa carrying guilt and anger issues moving to Florida.Its the fish out of water scenario.The kids are beautiful.The boys are ripped and the girls are busty.Thanks to a video on the web of him fighting he has a tough guy rep.He's set up to go to a party where there's backyard brawling.He gets baited into a fight and gets his ass handed to him.He gets invited to go train at a mixed martial arts gym and bonds with the trainer.He learns to deal with his anger and guilt until he's lured into a tournament.Like I
said the real star is the fighting.I caught myself saying I got to learn that take down or hit alot. |

| Forgetting Sarah Marshall - R | When I first saw the previews I thought "great ,now all the second stringers from judd apatow movies are getting their own movies now".I also had an immediate dislike of Russel Brand from a bunch of soundbytes from the vma's.After you get over seeing a naked Jason Segel you get one fucken funny movie.He plays Peter who gets dumped by his girlfriend Sarah(Kristen Bell) after a funny montage of 1 night stands and the advice of his step-brother(Bill Heder)He goes to Hawaii to clear his head.While checking in he meets Rachel(Mila Kunis who has never looked hotter by the way)Then to his horror he finds out Sarah is a the same hotel with her new boyfriend.Played brilliantly by Russel Brand I might add.What follows is a bunch of awkward run-ins and alot of funny characters vacationing and working at the hotel.Iwon't give away all the details but this was a funny raunchy movie with some heart.I did think the Dracula puppet play was lame but it's still a funny movie. | March 8, 2009 | N/A | |||

| The Dark Knight - PG-13 | Finally saw it....it's a good movie but I wouldn't go so far as saying it's the greatest comic book movie ever.Two-face was more of a badass in the past and that bit of him falling to his death was anti-climatic.Why even have him in the movie if you're gonna show him for a few scenes then kill him?Leave that shit for George Lucas(boba fett,darth maul)This movie was epic in scope and did do justice to the Batman-Joker dynamic.The escalation of Batman's arsenal to the Joker's lunacy.Bale and Ledger rocked their parts,the ending is what killed it.95% of the movie was Batman vs The Joker then it ends with Two-Face dying and Batman taking the blame for the killings.The last time we see The Joker he's hanging upside down,no scenes of him being taken into custody or going to Arkham.The cops are already breaking the bat signal before they start to chase Batman.GOOD MOVIE BUT NOT GREAT. | December 21, 2008 | N/A | |||

| Screamers - R | I saw this when I was trying to get the Midnight Meat Train on fearnet.I guess this was Peter Weller's first movie after Robocop.For an obvious low budgeted movie he puts in a good performance.In 2078 after a civil war on a planet, the survivors are offered a cease fire.After being nuked from The N.E.B. , the alliance made a weapon called screamers to take out ground forces.In their own words they made a machine to make them turned it on and ran like hell.Fast forward 12 years and they evolved.Weller's character,Hendricksson and a young recruit must cross a wasteland to negotiate peace.When they get there they find 3 survivors because new screamers have infiltrated the bunker.will they make it back before the new screamer reveal itself.Low budget but interesting enough to make you watch it till the end. | October 4, 2008 | N/A |
