ive seen this more times than any other movie, and only seen it on dvd once. Ive tried to be as cool as Judd's character for years but im just not that cool... if i could give it 100 stars i would, but that would imply that i like other films from the 80's. And i dont... i absolutely loathe them all, the Breakfast club was a needle in a haystack |

1997 was the peak of Kevin Smith's career in my opinion, for many reasons, but mainly because... well actually i dont know it just seems like hes out of ideas... whata great film this is though. for the first time he said screw Jay&silent Bob and made an honest, identifiable, love story... maybe not his best work, but far from his worst. |

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.) (1966, R)
i have never been more wrong about anything in my life. Ive avoided westerns for the last 18 years and for what? Well the only legitimate reason is because i was afraid i would like them and so that would be one more thing to make me country. i HATE REDNECKS.... but i was ignorant for thinking any western would be just as dumb as the ppl i live around. AH! so there is a difference! ppl in the west were un-educated and un-informed in the 1800's. whereas ppl are dumb now because they refuse to believe anything someone with a northern accent has to say. Well a few weeks ago i got the balls to watch a western. And maybe it was fate that i picked something so badass, realistic, and genius so i wouldnt be forever turned-off by the genre. well that badass film was the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY. it was good because i finally gave it a chance. bad because i waited almost 19 years. and ugly because it was so beautifully ugly. |
