| WALL-E - G | I went to a movie house expecting kiddie stuffs that will make you laugh and simply relieve your stress, but this film turned out to be not just like that. if you're at least a bit political person, you would easily recognize that the film is a simple tap to everyone's head, saying that little by little, capitalism is making everyone zombies(i have to use the word because i just read and article about animal zombies). | December 21, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Avatar - PG-13 | avatar is a visual pleasure. kudos to the artists behind those skills and ideas. CGI - I have nothing to say, it's a CGI revolution I guess. but scifi film as a whole, District 9 will still reign for me. | December 19, 2009 | N/A | |||

i kinda enjoyed the film, honestly. entertainment alone, ignoring the details, i was indeed entertained. it had my eyes glued on the big screen for almost two hours. but going through the details, ok let's see if i can express it exactly the way i thought; first, from the moment the family hop in the limousine to evacuate, that's when the hundred 1-second-to-death scene started. (not to mention after the lead character's call when everything seemed to be so normal around, all of a sudden, the city where they were just fell down) it's like they made the last half the film, the climax of 154 movies all combined in one thon. and the characters seems to have special ability to marry luck for being alive after around 50 attempts of nature to kill them. second, i was expecting the ships they built were not literally ships for oceans but spaceships or starships that could fly in space because we're talking about doomsday, the earth's inner core already melted and the lava burst out to the crust swallowing nearly 1/4 of the planet as shown on the film, and if that happened for real, earth will be in total wreck and will never be habitable anymore. what they did is like Noah's arc concept, literallly, Noah's arc in modern world. Third, the movie focused on how the wreck will be shown and how the survival of the lead characters will swim in adrenalin. insufficient research about the earth science or science of destruction. anyway those were some of the details but as i was saying, i enjoyed watching the film. i love how they touched humanity and how those greedy people and politicians will most likely act if the catastrophe will ever happen to us this early. yes. those government decisions - so true. tsk. oh i almost forgot, the weird Dj is my favorite character. he's so cool and funny. specially in his last scene. hehe. |
