| Youth Without Youth - R | Coppola's new movie Youth without youth was the story of Dominique Matei, which they divided the story in 2, the first involving an old professor's rejuvenation after being hit by lightning and the second the reincarnation of a girl who also happens to be the double of man's long lost love.I didn't completely understood the movie. I knew it was about time but there was more, I could not put it all together.Too heavy movie for me. The acting was excellent, Tim Roth was great. The photography beautiful, the locations were fantastic. I did enjoy the movie in some parts but I didn't find it all that engaging. Kang-ho Song starred as a priest who was accidentally changed into a vampire while being cured of a deadly virus.The lead characters performed their roles to perfection, playing their emotions in this dark humor vampire movie so well. Unfortunately I found the movie too long, which made it in some parts become boring. I did not found anything sexy at all which you usually expect to see in a vampire movie. Compared to Let the right one in, which had the vampire atmosphere more clearly. This should not occur, so Bruce Willis was asked to investigate. The movie was kind of similar SF-thriller as I-Robot, there were some action scenes, but they could not do anything to move the plot forward. | Kurbaan - Unrated | Mostly I never watch Indian movies,cause of the ridiculous dance part they put in their movies. But I guess they are slowly changing and start making good movies now a days and KURBAAN is one good example. It started as a romantic love story and then turn into terrorist activity movie.Saif Ali Khan portrayed a terrorist, an individual who is torn between religion and the woman he loved. Kareena Kapoor showed she is talented and also a beautiful actress, her role was based on expressions and she fits in it perfectly.The movie was more then 2 and a half hours long but it did not feel as long because each minute was perfectly used,I think this movie is a must watch, cause not always you get to see such a good movie from Bollywood. | December 13, 2009 | N/A | |||

YES was recommended to me, some time ago, but I could not find it to download it, so I ordered it through Amazon.com. Which after watching it, all I want to do is cry. Not my for my money but for my time. I found myself fast forwarding the movie some times. First of all,why was the characters dialog had to rhyme? Sounds like poetry and it was extremely distracting and so unreal that it made the already uninteresting plot even more unbearable. I can say you should watch the movie for yourself and make your own judgement. Maybe you'll get lucky and actually be able to get into it. I could not. No matter how hard I tried. |

| The Pledge - R | The Pledge, a mystery/thriller about a retiring detective, played by Jack Nicholson, who wanted to solve a little girl murder rape case before retiring. Nicholson was convinced that the killer was still on the loose and after making a promise to the little girl's mother he decided to track him down. Directed by Sean Penn, this thriller was packed with great details that made the story line very interested to watch. The tension built up very slowly until the confusing end. | Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire - R | This movie was about Precious, a 16 year-old obese black girl who was living a hell, her father raped her and her mother was abusing her.She was expecting her father's second child.Due to all these she started to acts indifferent in school so they transferred her to to a special learning facility.The plot was very simple and showed incredibly sad scenes. Mo'Nique's performance as Mary, the dominant mother who tortured and abuse Precious was incredible amazing. Precious was a hell of girl, she never gave up and she kept going even when things got worse for her.The performances of Mariah Carey, a honest and understanding Welfare officer, and Lenny Kravitz as the hospital nurse were so amazing.
