I wish I had not known much about this - it would have smacked me in the face even more. I wish I could get some questions answered.. but I like it when a good discussion gets generated out of a movie. This had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next the entire time. Some of the parts at the end were a little "eh" but I was thoroughly entertained throughout this one. For me, I wasn't questioning whose side to be on, etc -- I just wanted to see what happened. Don't really see how you can be on one side or the other in this one.

A good popcorn flick. It moves along quickly. It has good bits of humor mixed into the mystery of what's going on, which starts to become clear before it's revealed.

The Host (Gwoemul) - R

I was expecting something different. That really killed this for me. Watched it with the english dub, which just made me laugh alot even when I shouldn't have been. Didn't like the monster effects. Didn't feel like the "panic" stuff really played into all that much; or the virus stuff. The best stuff had to do with the two kids but not enough to save it.

I really didn't expect to like this that much but I was presently surprised. Mark Wahlberg worked pretty well in this role. I thought the supporting cast was kinda weak but.. eh. It was enjoyable.

Christian Bale. Once again- this guy is among my favorite working actors. Jeremy Davies is also great in this (and I freaked out seeing another LOSTIE in here, I won't ruin it if you don't know) .. I was surprised at how much comedy they were able to mix throughout this movie. At times, it's very grim.

Interestingly done and a few of the deaths are just brutal. It's all fast-paced at first and then characters start to fall out until only one character is really left - which makes sense. In my eyes, the movie was really about him.

This wasn't nearly as bad as some had me believe it would be. I really didn't care about all the nitpicky stuff... BUT- it would have been nice if the robots had been it more - especially the Decepticons. They just kind of show up just in time to get their ass kicked.
