Warning: Only watch this when you are wide awake. It's good and it's worth a watch but you really need to be prepared to watch it. Maybe bring a notebook and a pen if you're not feeling so alert.
I didn't remember the 2nd film enough for the timeline to matter much but I thought the action scenes were done well. I felt the camerawork adds an extra element to the energy in this one, instead of just being "stylish."
I actually enjoyed this more than the original despite a few goofy things. It has some intense scenes but they really shouldn't have played the main theme through all of them. I love the theme but it felt like it played through a good 15 mins. of the movie.
I hope Death Sentence is better. As far as this- well, the 'drop to silence' effect was a neat atmosphere trick. The twist, which you're expecting, just made me kinda shrug and say "..oh, okay. Yeah."
Ben Stiller bails on his marriage two days in because his new wife is in debt, gets a sunburn, and used to smoke crack. What an asshole. Oh, she likes to sing along to crappy songs too. Well, now I understand.
