| The Exorcist - R |
I have extremely vague memories of this film watching it when I was younger (possibly false memories or ones mixed up other horror films, can't really tell...) My friends and I felt like watching a horror movie, so we decided to watch a classic such as this. And it was actually a bit disappointing. I do understand that a film like this during the 70's is quite a breakthrough, but in this day and age, I think I've seen things which are quite scarier. Mind you, The Exorcist is still amazingly disturbing; but not so scary. |

| Ocean's 11 (Ocean's Eleven) - PG-13 |
48% from critics? I'm not sure what their problems is, but this is a fun movie to watch! Sure it's no masterpiece, but a great time capsule, us being able to look into the 60's in the with the Rat Packers. In comparison to the Clooney Ocean's 11: Other than both heist leaders are named Danny Ocean, nothing else is the same. I enjoyed the new one (still haven't watched the sequels), but it was overly complicated and hard to watch if you don't keep up. the 60's original on the other, is straightforward, and a little less complicated, but given that security wasn't that hightech at the time either. :P the ending, i say, was quite funny. |

| 17 Again - PG-13 |
I actually enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. I'm not a screaming fangirl of Zac Efron, but I must give props to him, because he still managed to have great onscreen chemistry with his older leading lady without making me feel awkward about it. On the other hand, I was effectively creeped out at the flirting scenes he had with Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays his daughter. Not an amazing piece of work, but for a light teen movie, it's works great! |

| Khaw hai rak jong jaroen (Me... Myself) - Unrated |
A girl almost run over a guy who now has amnesia because of it. With no contact info on him, the girl is forced to take care of him herself until he gets his memory back. During the course of their living together, they fall in love. But their feelings are questioned when he starts to remember who he really is. I'm sorry, I write crappy summaries, but I think this is a MUST WATCH! I'm not sure what constitutes as a spoiler for this movie, but even if you knew the twist, it doesn't take much away from watching this film. Heck, you can even figure it out by looking closely at the poster. Still, I'm not gonna spoil it for you. |

| Face/Off - R |
I never understood why this movie is getting such great reviews. Hm, maybe because I don't really like Nicholas Cage, and I was determined to hate it. But see, I didn't hate it! I just thought it was OK. I found the whole concept of changing faces unbelievable, because supposedly it was just the face. won't you still be obviously different in body structure? Maybe there's a line or two I missed that explains this. But heck, my belief was not suspended. But OK, let's say hypothetically, that plothole didn't exist. I still thought, "My God! they're as hammy as Pontious Pilate from JCS!" very H-A-M-M-Y acting. Oh well, this is first and foremost an action movie, and I have no qualms about that. |

THIS is my kind of horror. Just the right amount of creepiness. It doesn't try to shock you just for the heck of it. and it doesn't attempt to derail you into some convoluted story just to twist things up. Everything was presented, so I definitely did not predict the ending. I liked how it ended. Tragically happy. :) |

| Ninja Assassin - R |
Blood and gore galore! But it's not that hard to watch. I've been through much worse. If you survive the first scene, then you're good. And looking at the "artistic" blood, it's obviously coming from the same vein (no pun intended) as V for Vendetta. But if you're not a fan of ninja, gore, or action movies in general, don't watch it, because you are getting zilch from the storyline. zip, nada. I actually laughed when I learn that they rewrote the script a few weeks before filming. I was like, "Oh, now that explains a LOT." and I've come to a sad realization, that Asian superstars like Rain/Bi, no matter how good of an actor, will have to do a martial arts film just to cross over to America. it's so steorotypical isn't it? When he is capable of so much better roles. (Watch "I'm a Cyborg, but It's OK.") It's a harsh reality. to conclude, If you're going to watch this movie, do so without any shred of expectation. This will be the only way you will enjoy the movie, and watch it with friends who will bash it with you. I assure you it will be fun. Ah wait! Watch it for Rain's abs too. XD |

| Avatar - PG-13 |
Everyone's calling it a masterpiece; James Cameron's latest work of art. And for some part, I'd agree. AVATAR takes you to a whole new world, it's addicting. It's weird, because I didn't get to watch it in 3D (well, not yet.) and usually I don't really like watching full CGI films, but despite that fact, I found Pandora's luminous world is extremely beautiful, I REALLY wish I could go there, and stay there. It is definitely a VISUAL SPECTACLE. no one can deny that. I heard, James Cameron's goal with this movie is to bring people back to the cinema, and I guess with this movie, he will definitely succeed. This movie should be watched on a big screen baby. not on some TV, (well unless you have a really awesome home theatre system..) On the other hand, story wise it is not the strongest. full of Hollywood cliches and steorotypes, but what's new with that? I wasn't surprised at all, so I'm not sure why other people would expect otherwise. Nothing's that perfect. Oh, Zoe Saldana was awesome. |

| Roman Holiday - Unrated |
From Audrey Hepburn's charming and elegant beauty, to Gregory Peck's deep intoxicating voice, and to adventures in Italy's Rome, "Roman Holiday" is a classic that's sure to make you smile. Sure I was disappointed in the end (blame it on all the misleading fairytales Hollywood gives use.), but this is what I call a realistic ending! |
