I loved this film's premise, as much as the performances of Mastrantonio and Harris. Cameron's capable direction (and this is the film I forgive his Titanic-follies for) and the awesome visual effects, makes this one of the least dated Sci Fi films of its time. Check the extended director's cut for the fuller film. |

Immortal Beloved (1994, R)
One of Gary Oldman's best performances... he captures the mad paranoid deafness of Beethoven with astute nuance. It helps that the soundtrack is almost all Beethoven too, as he is my favourite composer, but the "Ode to Joy" sequence is phenomenal! |
