by crisIt's one of a kind animated movie,politically relevant,enjoyable,moving,tragic at moments,funny and beautiful as well.No fairytale for kids this story of a little girl's growing up journey during chaotic time in Iran's history,told with humor,sarcasm and intelligence.

88 Minutes
by davidNot a great movie...not even a good one!I guess I've had much too high expectations! 88 minutes of your life you'll never get back.Lots of cliches,silly characters,awful dialogues and plenty of red herrings.Pacino gives a decent performance and Neil McDonough is well cast,he always looks kind of creepy to me.They shouldn't have made Pacino run,he's not an action hero anymore,too old for that...This movie reminds me of something only that something was much better(24 and so on).

Eat Drink Man Woman
by crisDon't expect warriors,swordswomen,powerful swords and breathtaking flying scenes,this is not another Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon. This is Ang Lee's cinematic feast,a movie in which nothing really happens but a gentle,funny,sad,uplifting and of course mouth watering one.Senior Master Chu lives in a large house in Taiwan with his three unmarried daughters.Life in that house gravitates around the ritual of an elaborated dinner each Sunday-the only way he can show his love for them although his daughters consider this dinner to be torture. ''Eat,drink,man,woman.Basic human desires.Can't avoid them.All my life,that's all I've ever done.It pisses me off.Is that all there is to life?" Food for your eyes,true delight for your mind...don't see it on an empty stomach!
