Léon (The Professional) (1994, R)
Out of the thousands of movies I have seen. This one had the biggest impact on me. It made me laugh, cry, cheer, and took me on a thrill ride. Natalie Portman's first role as a homeless and broken 12 year old is very moving and Jean Reno plays Leon with prestige. With Gary Oldman as a corrupt cop creating havoc amongst the city, Leon and Matilda seek revenge against him for the murder of Matilda's drug dealing family. Leon's mild temper and kind heart coax's him into battle for young Matilda's heart. As an action packed war insues, Matilda is kept hostage after the antogonist Oldman finds her trying to finish what he had started. This film makes me laugh, cry, and stand for an ovation. A better Luc Besson film will not be made. |

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937, G)
As the first full length animated feature, it goes down in history. But I have more sentimental feelings for this film. Artwork is my life and the way of pencil to paper is a lost art these days. The artwork is incredibly beautiful and the story is one of the most sought-after and most fascinating stories of all time. It compells the spirit of American tradition and certainly puts itself in the past as a perfect childhood fantasy. The art is phenominal, and I challenge anyone who thinks otherwise. I love this film, and I will continue to persuade the American public and it's animation companies to please consider leaning towards the traditonal methods of pen and ink, pencil sketch, water color, and outline animation. The new way of creating animation is simply up to the techniques of computer artist, which is fine, but my opinion is considerably of the former. Please don't forget, the original paved the way for the recent. |

Million Dollar Baby (2004, PG-13)
God this movie was fantastic. Clint Eastwood is a great director as well as actor. And Hillary Swank will never give a better performance. It carries all the emotions you want in a film. The acting in superb, the directing was perfect.....all I can say is that it is one of the best films of all time |

The first time I saw this one, I was in college....and it was 230 in the morning. I was blown away by the story, acting, setting, and overall cinematography. Al Pacino is amazing as usual and Robin Williams gives his best performance bar none. |

The Postman (1997, R)
Wow. Kevin Costener is amazing! I absolutly love this film. He directs seemingly better than he acts (he is one of thebest actors of all time in my opinion). This movie tops "Waterworld" in the futuristic department and shows hoe great Costner can express his creativity. Also watch "Open Range". Another terrific Costner directoral and lead actor role. |

King Kong (1933, Unrated)
One of the best stories EVER told. It's a classic to top all classics. No matter how you look at special effects, lighting, or makeup, the story and scting beats all of those other criteria. The special effects are some that you can create out of your backyard, and it's definetly not for people who want amazing cinematography and crazy computer enhancements. If you like movies because of the acting, story, moral benefits, and classic noir dialogue, this is for you! Don't EVER let anyone tell you that the remake was better. Because it was SHIT compared to this |

Hoffa (1992, R)
Kind of slow and uneventful at first, but the complex statements of American life that surrounds Jimmy Hoffa makes this movie watchable. The story is told through memories of Jimmy Hoffa and his accomplice (Dnny De Vito) throughout the movie while they are calmly waiting in a limo outside a small town diner. Precise acting and exciting ending. |

Truly an awesome spectacle of American animation and film. The character study is not undershot by the tremedous comedy and fantastic and skillful art. It holds it's place in American cinema. If only people would understand how dear some of us hold these truly remarkable art films to our hearts, maybe some companies would look into the minds of true artists and put the original ways of animation art back into society. |

Truly dazzling in every sort of possible way. No dialogue is something I don't miss at all when I have such a perfect collaboration of skillful precision art before my eyes. I can only marvel at the sight of this. The classical music doesn't throw you off, it only makes the visual appeal so much more amazing. I'm happy to say I love this film, and I always will. It's all choreographed so remarkably well, and the colors are something to take into consideration, it was made in 1940. How did they do this? Great minds, great skill, great work. |

Kevin Smith's opinioin on God is pretty much the same as mine. This movie was great. Extremly funny, perfectly shot and directed. The cast is fantastic and the story is memorable. It's a true "new classic". Also, one of my favorite things about this film......an appearance by the late and great George Carlin. He plays a priest that's in it for money and credibility. Whod a thunk it? Priests that don't care about God????!!!!!! What !!!!! No way. |

Hard Candy (2006, R)
This is one of the most intense thrillers I have ever seen. It makes you cringe, but at the same time you don't want to look away. The acting is astonishing, and though the heroin is still a little brutal, she can be thought out to be an "anti-hero". It's everything I like to see in a thriller. From the beginning you are thrown wide from your seat at the inconcievable and confusing twist in the story. Very well directed and shot in a small, almost cramping setting. But the setting alone makes the movie irresistable. |

W. (2008, PG-13)
Josh Brolin is the man! I love him. He is a great actor. He may pass De Niro in my all time favorite list if he keeps it up. And Oliver Stone....can't say enough about him. He has made brilliant, mind blowing films that stand the test of time. It follows Mr. Bush in his life's journey and brings to life new occurences of George. Josh Brolin brings an astonishing and well thought out acting performance. If you like Brolin, Oliver Stone, or just have mixed opinions on Bush. This is a definate must see. |

I finally got around to watching this film. I now understand why I've heard so much about it. In it's brutal yet not-subtle way of describing human fornication, it describes how we view sex in a very honest way. This film is so originall and wonderfully written. The actors/actresses seem to have no problem discussing the attributes of vivid and rounchy sex, it's really a great film to watch. Just, not with your mother or grandmother present. |

It's one of those movies you stumble across when you are up at 2 am and get so involved with the plot a story that yu end up wishing you hadn't the next morning. It's beautifully written, well-casted, perfectly shot and directed. It's an original film that keeps you engrossed from start to finish. A futuristic tale (back in the making of the film, the future was 2007) of a war veteran wounded in battle and suffering from amnesia. He is sentenced to a mental institution for a crime he cannot remember and endures a new procedure that sling shots him into the future. Keira Knightley along with Kris Kristofferson and Adrien Brody give you a fantastic thriller about love and psychic analysis. |
