As a comedy, Bedtime stories fails miserably. There is nothing funny, definitely not when Sandlers speaks gibberish. As a fantasy, there is a big shortage of imagination as well as fun. Credit has to be given to whoever come up with the title. Bedtime stories. Yes, this movie really can help you to sleep.

You don’t mess with Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler either. (both of them co-wrote the screenplay together with Robert Smigel) There is no land that they wouldn’t go. There is nothing they don’t dare to say or show. Sometimes they go overboard. I think the gag about the presidents and the first ladies could be avoided. Otherwise it is hilarious.
This is not an intelligent comedy. It is more cartoonish. Like all cartoons, it is fun.

Spectacular to look at. It opened new horizon for the comic turned movie genre

you laugh, cry, snap your finges, cheer, feeling regret, getting angry.... rarely a film will get you so involve, let alone a musical.
