Green Street Hooligans

I am so lost for words at this movie. Its well put together and the characters were believable. This is a VERY powerful movie. I usually do not like movies about football hooligans (or soccer hooligans if you are American) but this movie was something else. Being that I was born and raised in the UK, I saw this all first hand... and yes, all this is very true... even down to the song about blowing bubbles... The first time I saw the character of Pete, I really wanted to slap him... but he really grew on me and I felt so sad at the end of the movie because of what happened to him. If you have seen football factory and you were hoping this was like that, you are wrong. It is as violent and raw as football factory, but this movie has more emotion and a stronger grip with the characters. Football factory was a movie that really showed us what football hooligans in the UK were like and this movie also shows how bad they can be, but Green Street is a lot easier to sit through. When I moved to Miami Florida from the UK and got my first job, a work mate asked me "what are the thugs really like in the UK?" I just wish I had seen this movie before he asked so I could have referred him to this movie.
