Modern Times
ROFL!
7
The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring
Though it didn't carry that much of creatures as the other parts, but this is part that started the fire... Can't say much about story, as the novel is still better than the screenplay. A great effort, though. Made people beg for sequels..
8
The Children of Heaven (Bacheha-Ye aseman) (1999,  PG)
The Children of Heaven (Bacheha-Ye aseman)
BRAVO!!! Never have I seen such a beautiful masterpiece. It is too sweet, I know, but I don't mind.. I love it, still!! A must watch!
9
Once Upon a Time in America (1984,  R)
Once Upon a Time in America
Superb. But too long. I wish some of the shots were cut short. But otherwise this one was a brilliant masterpiece.
10
Legends of the Fall (1994,  R)
Legends of the Fall
Oh, I just loved this one. Even the Red Indian that sings almost the same song for every ocassion, starting from a birth to a funeral. The movie has lots to offer! Brilliant!
11
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003,  PG-13)
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
One of my favorites.
12
Braveheart (1995,  R)
Braveheart
This movie is near perfection for me. I somehow always end up watching it whenever it's on....
13
Finding Nemo (2003,  G)
Finding Nemo
One of the best animation movies. Disney remains the champ!
14
Moulin Rouge! (2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
This movie made me watch a lot of other musicals...I really loved this one!
15
Schindler's List (1993,  R)
Schindler's List
He set out to exploit, and he becomes ever soo involved and determined in saving them. It's simply marvelous. The movie has been shot perfectly. Really fullfills all senses. Simply marvelous! And like the synopsis says this came out in the same year as he turned out Jurassic Park, then to hell with the overgrown lizards, this movie is absolutely better than that.
16
Crash (2004,  R)
Crash
I'm all praises for this movie. Racism is a sensitive topic. There really is no start and seems like there isn't any end. But we can still try to act as nice as possible. This movie also shows a very refreshing (and not so refreshing) change of attitudes. Wonderful!
17
Land of the Blind (2006,  R)
Land of the Blind
Portrayed as some unknown country, this movie has great substance. It was amazing to see the struggle of the revolutionary leader, and the way he turns bad when he gains power. I loved the bunch of young people (students, probably) who are at the core of the revolution. Superb story!
18
12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men) (1957,  Unrated)
19
The Passion of the Christ (2004,  R)
20
The Matrix (1999,  R)
The Matrix
This was not just a movie. It was a revolution in movie making, and portrayal of ideas as complex as matrix. You watch the movie like idiots in first half hour, and then you start grasping the concepts, and you are taking in to a total new and different level of imagination. I would always love this movie, or so it seems. It's a milestone in movie-making.
21
Scent of a Woman (1992,  R)
Scent of a Woman
Try to see life from the viewpoint of a person who lost his eyes, and his honor and about to lose his legacy. The morality and guidance he still shares with his newly found disciple. The journey of a boy through gray shades of morality guided by a man who's seen life enough to lose sight. Wonderful! Always one of the movies that I recommend! Hoo-haaa!!
22
Training Day (2001,  R)
Training Day
The story that starts with a day, and ends with that same day. A story of corruption, moral gray areas, ethics and a confusion about right and wrong. The dialog still echoes in my head "I am the police"! Washington at his best!
23
No Country for Old Men (2007,  R)
24
Memento (2000,  R)
Memento
One of the best movies I can think of. Whenever someone wants to see a 'different' kind of movie, I recommend this, and I think anyone else would too. A great movie with a greater direction.
25
Cloverfield (2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield
Marvelous! I really like the intelligent flow of the movie. The way the movie works is genius. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys a bit different style of movie-making.
26
Casino (1995,  R)
27
The Matrix Revolutions (2003,  R)
The Matrix Revolutions
I loved the action, the sci-fi effects. I loved the new teams introduced. The introduction of new characters were also mesmerizing and encaptivating.
28
I Am Sam (2002,  PG-13)
29
The Gods Must Be Crazy (1980,  PG)
The Gods Must Be Crazy
hey.. I foud it extremely hillarius.. tuk tikk tutitk tuktuk tik tiktikt.
30
21 Grams (2003,  R)
21 Grams
I haven't seen any other movie like it. It has got a pretty simple storyline. But the way the director has told the story is amazing. You are bombarded with scenes cut out from the film randomly and yet at the end you understand the whole story completely. WOW! I love the fanatic attachment to his faith shown by Del Toro, who by the way has won all my respect after this movie (earlier, Traffic was a wonder too). Sean Penn has a reasonable role, but Watts has put up a great show. Watts continue to become a great actress, we can see that easily in this movie. It's a great watch, and has become one of my favorites!
31
Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others) (2006,  R)
32
Lord of War (2005,  R)
33
Interview with the Vampire (1994,  R)
Interview with the Vampire
If you're interested in vampires, this is one of the best movie about them. It has Tom Cruise, Brad Pit, Antonio Bandares, Michael Slater and (child actress) Kristen Dunst!
34
Troy (2004,  R)
Troy
It has lots of flaws. But I like it. The whole tale of Troy as told by Homer, and others really make it a grand epic. Achilles was taken by the heel and sunk by a god in the waters of immortality. His heel was the only thing that still could cause a mortal death to him, and so shown in the movie. I liked the times when wars were simply fought by brave people, and had no place for cowards who fire missiles from hundreds and thousands of miles away.
35
Ijaazat (Guest) (1987,  Unrated)
36
The Usual Suspects (1995,  R)
