Thus, for this film to truly be a work of art, it would have to boil down to great performances...and even there, it misses the mark...Streep included. Watching Tom Cruise, I never forgot for a moment I was watching Tom Cruise...which is typical, as he is not a fantastic actor, in my humble opinion, and it doesn't help that I just find him sort of annoying as it is, but there have been times he made me forget that he was Cruise and convinced me he was...a sports agent...and a vampire. This time around, he didn not make me think he was actually a senator. Just Cruise wearing Armani in a nice office. |
