The Princess and the Frog - G A very lovely surprise. After quite a long time of being in a coma, Disney finally delivers, without the help of Pixar the Giant, a movie with a good, heart-warming story, pretty animation, and an excellent soundtrack. And, somehow, it brought me back to more charming, innocent times, at least for an hour and a half. December 12, 2009

Full Metal Jacket - R Truly amazing. Kubrick, once again, delivers a glorious film, particularly on such a complicated and controversial war, and treats the matter with a cynical, even satirical point of view. Mr. Kubrick, you're my hero. December 12, 2009

Brüno (Bruno) - R Wassup! Ich bin BRÜNO!
This is a very, very provocative and irreverent social experiment taped in film, causing uncontrollable laughter. It succeeds on being scandalous and shocking, presenting situations and images that are considered banned for any commercial film (for this I'm refering to all the hardcore sexual content, impossible to find in a non-porn flick). It succeeds on causing shock and proving the latent discrimination against homosexuality in general in the US. This movie, if one can call it a movie, will not leave anyone indiferent. And that's its strongest point.

The Informant! - R A very interesting and funny film, with a cool set and costume design (go 70's fashion!), a nice direction and editing, and a very nice, fun story. Damon steals the film with his dorky, naive, yet mysterious character. Go! November 17, 2009

2012 - PG-13 The best and second worst thing of this film is the special effects. The very worst part is the lame, predictable, and naive story that comes as an excuse to make a CGI orgy. November 17, 2009
N/A
Frankenstein - Unrated A shining, sadly forgotten, piece of unvaluable art. November 17, 2009

The Emperor's Club - PG-13 Interesting and entretaining, with a cool scholar context (yay for roman history!), yet falls too easily into clichés, familiar characters, and a predictable story. It's still entretaining, gives good examples of values and anti values, the right and wrong, but doesn't gives anything extra to the teacher-student relationships films to support the main story.
