The Passion of Joan of Arc (La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc)
Unrated
Falconetti's amazing performance here, i think, has never been surpassed by any other actor/actress of our time. It's a wonderful film that never cease to move me each time I watch it.

Garbage Warrior
by LorenWant to go "Green" ?... this guy is the Green Machine. Try making homes out of used waterbottles, tires, and bottles. Solar panals so you don't need to pay an electric bill ever in your life, your own sewer and water system. Growing your own food right outside your home. This guy went 'green' decades ago, and this film is about his dream to radically change how we look at housing and how we treat the planet. I especially liked how he helped people build these kind of houses after the terrible Tsunami disater. If more people were like this guy it'd be interesting to see how our world would be. Pretty interesting stuff here. Check it out.

Righteous Kill
by StarThis was well...a dissapointment for sure. Wait for the DVD. Barely a 3 star and maybe I'm even being nice with that rating. If De Niro and Pacino weren't in it I'd probably give it a 2 and a half at best. The writing is bad, the directing is suspect, the film lacks any sort of suspense and badly could have used some, the dialogue is funny at times and yet totally ridiculous at other times. Don't say I didn't warn you.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY SEEING THIS AT THE THEATRE!!

The Dead Zone
by LorenDuring the film Christopher Walken talks about "Sleepy Hollow" multiple times, and as you know he was the headless horseman in Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow. Another weird coincidence is that when Walken's character is tutoring a young boy in the film he is reciting a poem I'm not really familiar with "Lady Lenor" or something. Colleen Dewhurst is in the film, and when she played the mother in the "Anne of Green Gables" films the Anne Shirley character recites the same poem. I know there are these coincidences in all films... another one I can remember is when John Malkovich in the film "the Object of Beauty" has a long running dialogue on how many times they have remade Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and sure enough he played the role years later in "Mary Reilly"..lol Do go see The Dead Zone though. Rewatched it again today after seeing it a couple years back, and just as good if not better the second time around. It is very well done, and you can just see the sadness and lonliness pour out of Walken's role.

Hands on a Hard Body
by LorenIn order to win a brand new truck, how long would you.. or could you..keep your hand on it without letting go? As you all know 1st prize in this documentary feature is a brand new fully-loaded Nissan truck, anyone what to see 2nd prize? A $250 gift certifacte, third prize is your fired... j/k 3rd prize is like a $50 gift certificate to the grocery store for your troubles of staying up three days with no sleep with your hand on a vehicle. These people go well over 3 days with only a 5min break every hour and a 15min break every 6.. pretty sick but it takes alot out of you and 'there can be only one' standing. This documentary is done really well, and you actually start to care who wins when it comes down to the end. Pretty good stuff.
Note - You can actually watch this on "Google Video".. Just type in the name of the film and it should pop up to watch.... It should say it is 97minutes in length..Enjoy!Hey, you should really see this!

Le Monde Selon Monsanto (The World According to Monsanto)
by HarryOk, so here's the path as I understand: Monsanto's revolving door tactic with the FDA employing its lawyers and vice versa ensures the circulation of its products by hiding research results. Regarding GMOs, the farmers must buy Monsanto's fertilizers and pesticides for the crops to grow and are forbidden to replant the seeds or will be taken to court. Free trade ensures that Monsanto's seeds are spread across countries so that they can eventually contaminate other crops (pollen), kill the biodiversity and oblige farmers to use Monsanto's products. With the diversity of the seeds getting narrower as Monsanto dominates the market, farmers and consumers are at their mercy. If rBGH and GMOs turn out to be like PCBs, it will take years before people have concrete evidence (cancer) of their negative effects to be able to sue Monsanto who will likely resolve the case by paying a fraction of the profit they've made in compensation for the victims and the people responsible will walk free.
