This could have been a great movie. They could have gone wild with all the wonderful stuff that's inside the shop, a bit like they play with the Hogwarts school in the Harry Potter movies. But they don't. Dustin Hoffman goes around smiling all the movie, and Natalie Portman just looks cute (ok, very cute). Apart from this the kids were bored, the story is to complicated and it's too long. |

Tarantino is usually associated with violent scenes and strong visual movies. What he also does very good is to create superb scripts. Almost any scene in this movie has interesting dialog, and it's a joy to watch. Pam Grier looks stunning, it's wonderful to watch De Niro playing a lowlife idiot, Samuel Jackson is THE king and the rest of the cast makes this a very good movie. |

I wasn't expecting much when taking the kids to see this, as most Norwegian papers said it was so-so. But it was funny! The visuals were great, the jokes are funny and the kids loved it. And how can you not laugh when the fat panda falls down the stairs or chrashes through the wall? Hilarious. |

Ok, this is THE most horrible sequel ever made. For the first time in my life, I seriously considered ejecting the movie half way through. Evrything is bad: It presents itself as some kind of documentary based on true events, the editing is trying to be very MTVish but fails by being just bad bad bad. The Korean soldiers are protrayed as complete idiots and the actors are horrible. Stay away. |

Well, "Daredevil" was actually better. Jennifer Garner is of course good looking and the visuals are hig class. But again when superheros go to the movies: It's boring because you don't feel for them. Elektra's traumatic story from her childhood is totally overtold, with horror movie flashbacks with loud sound effects and jump shots. The bad guys are superstrong until they suddenly get killed. Again: See "Batman begins". Much better movie. |
