Up (2009,  PG)
Up
very refreshing story, with even more grown-up and meaningful themes compared to previous pixar films, which i have mostly enjoyed as well. adorable and funny throughout, but i also found myself tearing up at many poignant moments, especially the parts showing the love between Carl and his wife. only slight problem i had was with the ending, but it's really not a big deal, when the story itself feels so real. that realness is certainly helped by the wonderful characterisation of old men Carl and Muntz and Russell the little boy. the more i think about it, the more i feel how special this film is. great job by Pixar.
