Withnail and I
by QuintoDon't think I've ever seen two performances as convincing as the two leads, nor dialogue be delivered as amusingly. The characters are the very definition of memorable.

I recommend you see...It has been quite a while I haven't said or reccomended a film to all of you flix friends, I don't have much time to spend on watching them since I'm through an exams period. yet, yesterday I found some spare mins to watch this Devil's Backbone. the film, although not as brilliant as much people said it was, it was nevertheless good and really enjoyable.. ;)

Chaplin
by QuintoNot so much a film but an excuse to show off a lot of famous faces who never get to do anything at all during the entre 2hrs. and 25 mins. Seriously, for a life full of achievements and revolution as Chaplin's, the movie makes it look that he only really fucked a lot of women and had children like crazy. As big of a missed opportunity as a biopic could ever be. Wait, I remembered something I did love: Instead of having Downey, Jr. and the other do second-rate imitations of Chaplin's work, they instead show the actual footage from his movies. I thought it was a nice thing to do and fit really well with the movie.
Only Todd Haynes should make biopics.

Monty Python's Life of Brian
by danielhonnestly, I found the first 30 mins a complete bore. the lack of different jokes from the past films and sketches, made it also a bit too... serious, to say the least. also, the catchy, and now quite known, song at the end was a proof they were taken to the commercial side, by then. but well, Life of Brian had its nonsense moments, yes, although not as hilarious as in the Holy Grail. it was funny nonetheless, on a general approach.

Monty Python's And Now for Something Completely Different
by danielyes, it was completely different alright. fun, but not that hilarious as i was expecting...yet, the utterly pointless situations and behaviors provided some good laughs, aswel as the drawing sketches (the top-notch thing of the 'film', i must add).

Up
by QuintoWell, duh, it's Pixar. Of course it was going to be funny, sweet, fun and make me cry all day long. It has such beautiful messages, lively characters and splendid animation I couldn't have asked for a better time at the movies. I only complain about the 3D because I've always found it more distracting than engaging.
Do not dare miss this movie.

Dirty Harry
by danielI know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
I could say the 4 stars were just because of this line.Hey, you should really see this!

Mortinho por Chegar a Casa (Dying to Go Home)
by danielone of the best portuguese movies. I haven't seen it for ages, since I was a kid, so I dun quite remember most of the things in it, but I know that I loved it at that time, for being so simple, and particularly, because it was funny.
Hey, you should really see this! am recomending it just because Flixster added the movie poster i sent them 4 months ago (its in spanish though, couldn't find a portuguese one anywhere).
