  WarGames

  Wargames is one of my favorite movies out of the 80's I know that Joshua (the computer) is outdated by today's standards and David (Matthew Brodrick) never would have broken into NORAD but it's still one of the best hacker movies ever made and a great cold war thriller. Now I was only 10 when this movie came out so I didn't understand the finer elements of the story.
  
  The acting is solid across the board. Broderick and Sheedy do top notch acting work here. With Dabney Coleman leading a great supporting cast but even though there is a good cast here, the story is what I think makes Wargames the classic that it is. There really is a sense of menace that World War III might actually start and that it might just be all David's fault. This should serve as a reminder to never play Global Thermonuclear War when your computer has tapped into the national defense network.
  
  The NORAD sets are pretty damn cool and they manage to look quite authentic. The soundtrack also must be given special attention just because it has that special 80's flavor and they even made it electronic sounding for the movie. In the beginning you can find a young Michael Madsen in one of his first roles. Maybe even the first I'm not sure.
  
  To sum up here. Wargames is a quality film that will take older moviegoers back to their childhood or young adulthood and will make younger viewers think "they had computers back then?!" A true classic and one that makes a great addition to any DVD collection.

  it had its moments... some of the humor seems a little forced but i had a good time.. Anna Faris can truely act dim but it seems very natural.. the girls were a great cast.. a touch of eighties nostalgia in the way of Revenge of the nerds w/make-overs.. its worth the laughs and the $8.75

  its a happy madison film, so expect adam sandler humor and a few cast members of sandlers favorite actors. its cute, silly, and heartwarming.

  Punch-Drunk Love

  PTA's romatic comedy is as much absurd and odd as it is genius. The movie is tecnically perfect, with a brilliant reluzent photography, fantastic editing, montage and screenplay... And what screenplay! The acting, oh my! Adam Sandler and Emily Watson are superb. Sandler delivers his best performance up to date, he's not the maniac dumb performer as always. Here he shows that he's got the skills to act. Philip Seymour Hoffman and Luis Guzman are also great in their small supporting roles. PTA reached perfection again. When you think that he's reached his limits, he pushes it to extreme again. A must see, the best romantic comedy of the decade and the best of the 21st century so far, and this will be a title so hard to take from "Punk-Drunk Love". Quirky, bizarre, strange and worth watching!

  View from the Top

  Bruno Barreto's lazy directing destroys each good thing of this silly comedy. "View From the Top" is the type of movie that you watch during incredibly boring afternoons and you... sleep watching it! The actors seem really lost in this mess, and they're probably thinking: "Where the hell is the director?". Okay, he was probably cashing his check 'cause Barreto did nothing to correct the poor acting, the sugar-bloated screenplay, the made from TV photography and the other million negative points. Two stars just because of Gwyneth Paltrow and Mike Myers, both struggling to do a great job. The other actors were probably cashing their checks with Barreto.
