The Fourth Kind

It?s an interesting approach to the alien theory with this movie being shot like a documentary. All performances are great with Mila jovovich being on fine form here. The movie is shot with real (you decide on this) stock footage and video interviews from the main person that milla is portraying. This adds to the eerie feel of the movie and give you some nice jumps and scares. It?s great to see that the alien adduction theme back on the big screen again, this movie didn?t add anything new or give you any new answers its pure entertainment. I have read reviews and webs site saying that this movie is not a true story as it claims and that the stock footage to be fake. But at the end I doesn?t care this movie was great and if I wanted to see real stories about this theme I?ll go to the documentary channels for that.

A Perfect Getaway

Run of the mill thriller with some good performances from the 4 main leads. The location is the real star of the movie but with a slow first half followed by a twist in the end which wasn?t much of a surprise. Steve Zhan is always a joy to watch and he doesn?t disappoint here and milla jovorich looks good but that?s all she got to do here.
It?s a perfect Friday beer and curry night in, that?s pretty much it.

Dead Air

What starts out promising turn into a really shame of a movie.
A cross between 28 weeks later and Pontypool with a terrorist threat theme to add.
I had no problem with the set up, mostly takes place at a late night radio station where you heard the events unfold (just like Pontypool) and bleeding from the eyes zombies that run (28 weeks later) but you do get glimpses of what is going on to in the city too. I found the acting quit hammy and I did?nt like bill moseley performance at all! Beside that there are some nice gore scenes and some good scares but with a low budget you don?t get the sense of dread that there trying to pull off.
I give it 3 stars for the effort but it?s really a 2 star show.

Spartan

Solid action adventure with val kilmer.This being hes last big screen film before driving into direct to video trash!!This is gripping to the end with excellant performance thru out.
Worth checking out.

Schindler's List

Spielberg directed this with passon and it shows on screen.Using black and white film making makes this feel realistic.This are great performances from liam neeson,ralph fiennes and ben kingsley.A truly horrifly watch in some places and heart melting moment too,this is one of spielberg best mature movies to date..

Carriers

Intresting and surprise movie not about a virus spreading but the after math and the effects and of 4 survivers trying to get to a safe place and out run the virus.Its a kind of road movie and is more characters driven.Anyone looking for a 28 days later clone will be disappointed.The 4 leads are great in there roles.The movie is bleak and dark and is little hard to watch in places as i was thinking what would i do in there situration......not easy!
Over all a great horror/drama movie and worth people viewing.

Paranormal Activity

This one will seprated the movie goers just like the Blair witch Project did 10 years ago.This is a type of movie that needs you to use your imagination alot and if you can get around that then you will have a fun and scary ride.
Yes its alot of taiking but beyond that lays a creepy and scary movie thats needs to be seen in the dark and on a big screen.its not the scariest movie ever but there are alot of jumpy bits and the end its also a winner.
Highly recommand for all the blairwitch fans and also fans that like POV movies..

Intresting movie offers nothing new but it's well made and nicely acted.Movie gets going very quickly and it do'nt out stay its welcome with a short running time of 75mins.Some great gore sences and action too.If you looking for something not taxing and a easy watch give this a go.

H2: Halloween II

Halloween 2 picks up after the events of the first one and again we go on a killing ride with Michael Myers. But Rob Zombie pits us with a sheer killing machine and a re-inverted Michael Myers too, more beef up and extremely dangerous and someone you never want to meet in a dark ally.
Mr. Zombie again shows he?s a talent as a director given us some of the most terrifying killings I?ve seen, the raw energy that he put into those scenes and nastiness too is truly nerve shattering.
The biggest problem is the story, its ok and beings the story together but the middle acted of the movie is slow and dull given that the first 25 mins was so good and extreme. And the conclusion is good but yet again the film is left open which isn?t a surprise. Over all not a bad sequel and some of the terrifying killings put out on screen .But I am hoping the Rob Zombie can move on to something different next time as this guy got talent in horror.

Up

Another masterpiece from pixar,its a really chamer and again its the story that tops the goal.Beautiful looking and very touching with laugh out humour to add.What else do you need.Only pixar can seem to make a movie that is so good in every level,Go and see it now its a crowd pleaser and works with all ages from 3 to 78 !

The Hills Run Red

ok horror with decent acting and strong blood and guts.But the main problem is that we have seen it all before and better too.Production standards are high and given that its a STV fave.
Watchable for a friday nite with beer and take out.....

Is'nt micheal bay got anything better to do than to produce and killer another 80's movie monster icon,hes done it with friday the 13th this year which really felt like the texas chainsaw massace again....Looking from the trailer to nightmare its a carbon rip with a few added stuff of there own!!!!!and no one and i mean no one is going to replace freddy play by robert england and the one in this is got a funny accent!!!! Are well that my gripe over.....hahaha
