A Nightmare on Elm Street

Why!!!!!!!
Is'nt micheal bay got anything better to do than to produce and killer another 80's movie monster icon,hes done it with friday the 13th this year which really felt like the texas chainsaw massace again....Looking from the trailer to nightmare its a carbon rip with a few added stuff of there own!!!!!and no one and i mean no one is going to replace freddy play by robert england and the one in this is got a funny accent!!!! Are well that my gripe over.....hahaha

Surrogates

Nicely done sci-fi thriller with a intresting theme about are future tech that we will control or is it controlling us? Again bruce willis puts a good performance as a police detective with abroken marrage and morning of there death of there only child.One or two action sets are on hand but not as big as the normal willis fair.Still good mine you and with the human touch added for the balance.Was a little short on running time just over 80 mins could of done with a extra 20 mins to just add a little more story to it.Over all a nice litte thriller easy on the brain and eyes....

Trick 'r Treat

This hidden gem as been locked away for over 2 years at warner bros trying to decide how to release this.Its produced by Bryan Singer and as a couple of well know stars.Well sitting down to watch this movie thinking its was going to be a mess and by suprise it was'nt.The stories are great with touches of black humour and its not over blown with sick gore,just the right amount to move the film along.All performances are great dyan baker is a stand out as the headmaster/serial killer and brian cox as the old man next door.Film runs a beilf 80 mins which never outstays its welcome and by the end you are more then enough happy with the ends concluion....

Blue Thunder

Blast from the past,this superb action movie from 1983 still stands tall.Yes its a little dated but the theme and story line stand up well even now.Roy Scheider give a wonderful perfromace as frank murphy a police helicopter polet with a dodgy past.What is the best thing about the movie is the dog fight in the last 30 mins or so.Its well done and with no CGI at the time makes the stunts so more incredable.Need to see to believe and even todays standed its still brillant and no film that i seen as come close.If you not seen it yet get a copy now and if you got a blu ray player see it in that its so cool...

Shuttle

Good little thriller here.Acting is good and the surpense is well done to.Again nice to see a twist at the end that i did.nt see coming which made this movie well above par.Worth a look people..

The Thaw

Well above avenge horror across between the thing and touches of cabin fever.Startes well and carrys on thru out leaving you with a satifying climax.Acting is well above par for this type of low budget fair.Any Val Kilmer fans will be disappointed as he as a short screen presents.This to me is a rare and surprise find and recommand it to horror fans....

Gamer

Ok movie with same intresting ideas.Visuals are put to the test just like in directors last effort Crank.Movie flows along at a fast pace so any plot holes are well hiidden.Violents is brutal but is help by its fast edits and flashy style.and the wrost thing i found that it took most things too serously,
Its not bad but not good either...

It's Alive

Dull and boring sums up this remake.Only saving grace which is'nt much is that its got a different story to the 1973 orignal and gore fans will be happy with some of the gore on screen.But its the flat and twist free ending that sum up that the film making did'nt care in what they were doing!!!!!

Funny People

Wow another great turn for directed Judd Apstow with a great performance from adam sandler.Last time adam sandler was this good was in punch drunk love which was a while ago now.The story is great not taxing and show all trade marks of mr apatow that we so love from he's other films.Seth Rogen again proves he is a reliable actor and is good a long side sandler.Also Jonah Hill and jason Schwartzman are a joy on screen and set the comic tonic well.One only gripe is its a tad too long and could have been trim to about 2 hrs but saying that i never got bored and never clock watch.

Inglourious Basterds

Great movie and QT is back to form after the crap death proof he made a few years back.Word if warning to all war movie fans that this is not your normal war movie and may find it not what they paid to see,the trailer is different to the movie itself and remember its QT film 100%.Great performance all round and actually like eli roth small performance as many people been slaging down he's acting.Love the way he looked with hes eyes at the end i,n the cinama on the balcony.Anyway its a war movie with all trade marks of QT so all fan should be happy.

Drag Me to Hell

Sam raimi is back and back doing what he does best.This is a great thrill ride with shocks and slapstick action which made Raimi a house hold name in horror.Not really seen hes style since darkman and its great to see he as not lost it.Movie is a fun thrill ride with a nice twisted end to add,you can see the evil dead and darkman in some of the scenes and even the beloved car from the evil dead pops up......happy days.All in all if you are a sam raimi fan this will not disapoint and hopefully find hes way to another horror movie........even the remake of evil dead?

The Final Destination

This 4th movie and last in the series.... is the best of all, and cuz I saw it in 3D !!!
I gotta say that this 3D feature is really awesome, when U see the people like they're in front of you and U see things comin' at U which is plain AWESOME !!!
about the acting itself it wasn't great but still was good enough 2 my opinion anyway.
I recommend U all 2 check it out and mostly in the 3D version (If U don't got 3D Glasses then ur bad...)

District 9

Intresting appoche and feeling like a updated alien nation.The twist is thats is done like a documentary style.Nicely set in south africa with some of the best special efficets ive seen in this type of movie in a long time.worth checking out.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

Wow what enjoyable big budget popcorn movie.This is what Transformers 2 should of been,take not Micheal Bay!! This has everything sexy babes,guns action,funny man and exploives and a crap scripes.But story is not the issue in the type of film hey.Sienna Miller is so sexy as the baroness and very good as a bad guy and rachel Nicols looking good.Action is fast and furious and the Paris action scene is so over the top its brillant.Stephen Sommers as hit home here after the dreadful Van Helsing we keeping the movie going.
Again the second best 2009 summer movie for me after Star trek.Go see it and leave your brain at the door and just enjoy..

Largo Winch

Intresting movie,some fine locations used and a so so story to boot.The movie is let down by the lack of any really good action set pieces as its trying to be a sort of james bond wanna be. But part from that its a decent watch with some decent acting.
