A film which kickstarted a career for Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle. This is in my oppinion the best British movie ever made, I am still young yet and have yet to catch up on generations of movies (2001, A Clockwork Orange, Etc..) but for now this remains my favourite movie of all time.

Many geek-boy will tell you this is the best star wars film, and one of the best movies of all time. This movie had a much more different feel than the first. It introduced a lot more memorable characters but also developed the ones we already knew to a much deeper level, particuarly Solo. One of my favourite movies of all time.

Juno
(2007, PG-13)
It is very rare there is an oscar nominated film I actually can say I want to see. With Juno I can proudly say that ever since I seen the trailer I knew it would be a good film. And boy was I right. A remarkably simple yet cute story, this film is well written, acted and directed with an amazingly beautiful soundtrack. Already a favourite of 2008.

Not the film that you expect it to be. Pan's does what all successful film's do, it makes you care about the characters. The fantasy elements are lost on the audience because of the characters. I was reccomended this by so so many people and its unbelievable how much of a good film it is, brilliantly directed and surely the best thing to come out of spain.

The only sequel done by Pixar to date and defenately a perfect one a that. There is nothing much different in this one the the brilliant first one, but there was something defenately different to make it the more memerable movie. Perhaps it was Pixar growing with experience. In years to come generations will look back and recognise this movie as one of Disneys classics.

I am a sucker for Zach Braff (said it time and time again) So when he writes directs and stars in one film i have to see it. The music is well chosen and the shots are fantastic.. And while the plot is so mundane and never really develops past the first minute, that is the odd charm about Garden State.

The director Danny Boyle is a faveroute of mine, he defenately creates such intense movies, and this is no excexption. Being one of the first british scifi movies i can think of worth watching. The story is simple but the film is written and directed so perfectly tyhat you allmost forget that the SUN IS DYING your really care about these people and thats thanks to not only the direction but the acting from the brilliant cast. If you have seen event horizon you will want to check this thriller out. I have heard some bad things about the ending of this movie too but it brought a smile and a tear to my eye to watch. Beautiful movie

Wall-E is just visually a delight to watch, Pixar seem to out-do themselfs every time when it comes to animation detail, at some points you just feel like your watching actual filmed footage. Pixar took a risk with this one, the dialouge is lacking, but thy have managed to animate and manipulate the sound to give so much character to all of the robots. The characters are cute and is any real criticism has to come its that for a brief period when leaving earth the film feels like it is heading in a bad direction, it wasnt. Wall-E is the most loveable cinematic character in a long time and has me in a state of mushyness everytime I stare into his lenses. A film which I hope remains a must see for years to come, I know that personally it will.
