I watched this 6 times at the local dollar theatre when it first came out. I used to run around with a whip reenacting the movie (fake snake pit as well). Harrison Ford at his best as the wise cracking, hard nosed archaeologist trying to find the Ark of the Covenant.

GoodFellas (1990,  R)
GoodFellas 5.0 Stars
"As long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a gangster." This is my number one movie about organized crime. How can you go wrong with De Niro, Pesci and Liotia? This movie has three of my top all time favorite scenes.
1."How am I funny Henry?" Joe Pesci breaking Ray Liotia's balls in this scene is scary and hilarious at the same time.
2.When Henry Hill finds out Karen (Lorraine Bracco) is raped and Henry just walks over and pistol-whips his punk ass in front of his friends. I know I would do the same if anyone messed with someone I loved.
3.The steady cam shot of Henry and Karen entering the Copacabana through the back door, passing everyone who works there with a smile and a hello. Then walks to the headwaiter, tips him and is seated up front. Power and respect are shown brilliantly in this scene.

Stanley Kramer directs Spencer Tracey in this great courtroom drama about the teacher who taught evolution in class. Spencer plays the lawyer from the North sent to defend the teacher played by Dick York. This movies theme is as relevant today as when this movie was made. Religion verses Science, it does not get any better than that.

The Quiet Man 5.0 Stars
Quiet Man is about an American named Sean (Wayne) who goes back to the small town in Ireland he was born. In the process of purchasing back his mother's house Sean falls for a redheaded beauty, Mary Kate (O'Hara), but her bully of a brother tries to keep them apart. A romantic comedy about old traditions of courting ("No patty fingers if you please") and dated dialogue that will infuriate a feminist ("Women of the house"), but still worth a watch.

I get so much crap from my guy friends because I love this film. Initially, I watched this film for Julia; I had such a crush on her in the 90?s. The film has great characters, funny dialogue and such a bittersweet ending. The screenwriter of this film wrote it for his sister who died. If any of you cannot cry during Sally fields performance in the graveyard and the laugh your head off seconds later from Olympia?s comment, well you are just dead inside. Get over the fact it is a chick flick and watch a great film.

It took forever for a movie about Spider-Man to come to the big screen and it was worth the wait. I was nervous about Tobey playing my favorite superhero, but he did a good job as Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Is there a hotter kiss than the upside down kiss? I don’t think so.

The Simpsons Movie (2007,  PG-13)
The Simpsons Movie 5.0 Stars
A must see for all Simpson fans!

As a diehard Simpson fan, I had very high expectations for this film. I expected a longer episode with the unusual hi-jinks and hilarity. It delivered on everything. From its very start with Ralph singing the 20th Century Fox song to the ending with the pimply faced kid sweeping the theatre.

The humor ranged from slapstick to sexual, poking fun at Hollywood, politics, fans and even themselves. As Homer states in the beginning of the movie "Who the hell would pay to see something you can see at home on TV for free?" Some of the humor is risqué for the younger crowd this film will draw. In one scene, Homer and Marge are preparing to "Snuggle" and in the tradition of Disney, local forest creatures help them prepare and they are repulsed when they see the act they helped with. A kid in the seat behind me asked his mom why the animals were scared. She replied, "I will tell you when you are older." Classic.

My favorite quote from the film has to be Ralph's line after a naked Bart skateboards past him. He says, "I like boys now." This and many other scenes had me in tears from laughing so hard. Simpson fan or not, I believe anyone can get a good laugh from this movie.

Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man 5.0 Stars
Iron Man is not your typical action based comic book movie. Robert Downey Jr., with all his quick wit and obvious flaws is Tony Stark. The chemistry and dialogue between Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert was spot on. I enjoyed the trial period of Tony when he was working on his Iron Man suit and the robots on safety duty.

The Iron Man crew focused more on the story and the character development than the special effects. The special effects helped support the story and not drive it. This is a solid film from start to finish and the best comic book movie to date.
