Barton Fink is still my favourite - it's about a writer hunted down by circumstances beyond his control. Barton Fink's surreal and freakish with a melodramatic ending and so's No Country For Old Men. A hunter becomes the hunted. Brilliant film about humanity and how wrong the best laid plans can go but what the fuck's wrong with that ending?

Sane men need to know what the Coen's were on when they thought that was a sufficient way to end it.
