I was so looking forward to the next installment and it is great. Still a great cast. Good storyline and full of adventure. Autobots live and work alongside the US military to protect the humans But Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and he revives him using his own spark. There starts another battle between good and evil against the backdrop of the pyramids. Excellent graphics and action.

Very funny movie about the day after a batchelor party. Four guys go to Vegas for a batchelor party. They wake up the next day to find Mike Tyson's tiger in their hotel room, a baby, a missing tooth, someone got married (not the groom), a hospital wrist band and the groom is missing. They have to try to piece together the night before to find the groom and get to the wedding on time. I love the police car scenes and the poker scenes. This movie is a bit like Dude, Where's My Car and Very Bad Things. Great cast.

    The Proposal The Proposal

I love chick flicks because they never fail to move me and I always know what to expect because of their flagrant predictability and tendency for possessing happy endings. With The Proposal I was once again not the least deceived.
First, and most importantly, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have terrific chemistry and such intense magnetism that it drew me into the film even more. Storyline is quite ordinary and bland, yet it being sprinkled with a series of successful jokes do render it a fairly agreeable summer film.
If you're looking for a fun, feel-good, and romantic little film, go out and see this. Laughs guaranteed.

    Absolutely inane and horrible storyline.
I am so disappointed that I don't think it deserves more than a phrase.
    HORRIBLE.
See this only if you really do enjoy Will Ferrel's performances... and even then!
I vouch that Year One will be 100x better.

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

This is a great sequel, it's not often that a sequel is better than the first movie. I think this movie has a better and more involved storyline. Larry (Ben Stiller) has left the museum and become a successful inventor. Meanwhile the museum exhibits have been moved to Washington DC museum archives. Larry has a race against time to rescue them. On the way he meets Amelia (Amy Adams). She's fab. There are new characters, more interesting storyline with a fight against good and evil. The museum really comes to life again. My faves are still there Jed (Owen Wilson) and Teddy (Robin Williams). Even Ricky Gervais is back as the mumbling nonsensal director of the museum.

I love the Dan Brown books and this is my favourite of the books. If you have read the book before going to see the movie, you will be disappointed. It has the fast pace of the storyline but no depth to the story. I didn't think Tom Hanks was the right actor for Robert in the Da Vinci Code but he has grown into the role in Angels and Demons. Robert is invited to the Vatican City to help solve clues to save four kidnapped cardinals, in the wake of the Pope's death and save the city from a bomb planted by the secret society - the Illuminati. Ewan McGregor is the priest to the late Pope and my favourite character. Very dashing even for a priest!

Warning - spoliers! This movie will introduce Star Trek to a whole new generation. It unites the cast of the Enterprise from a young age. All the favourites are there - Captain Kirk, Spock, Scotty, etc. For once Kirk doesn't get the girl! Sorry to spoil it but it was amusing! It has a great storyline, baddies and special effects. Fabulous! When is the next movie?

    Much ado about nothing
Pfff..... TOTAL deception (not that I had grand expectations)

Such a deception, in fact, that I don't even feel on expounding. This film drained me. Too many explosions and a huuuge lack of "connection" with the characters.
    Whateverrrr.

Absolutely amazing, one of the most humane films I have seen in a long while!
Sarah Polley is breath-taking and gives the peformance of a lifetime in this beautiful, beautiful, beautiful film that makes one reflect and ponder upon the meaning of life - and of one's own life as a consequence.
Also, I think it has one of the best opening scenes I have ever seen. Terribly nostalgic and poetic. Will not please everyone but WoW. Took my breath away.

    Instant classic.
    BREATH-TAKING.
Among the most humane films I have ever seen.
Makes one reflect upon our lives and how we are living them - sounds cliché I know, but what isn't right?

    GIVE. THIS. ONE. A. TRY.

Well, before I saw this movie, my friends already told me that the movie version got a pretty big difference with the book, and that makes me a little disappointed, but my heart has no hesitation on it because I know Ron Howard was behind it... And what I saw after about 2 hours, I only have one word : "Magnificent!"... It is true that they have a pretty big difference from the novel, but for me who already read the novel for a couple times, I didn't annoyed with that... At least they still have the thrilling section and the twist they made is perfectly nice for the ending of this movie... Tom Hanks look more better in this movie that in Da Vinci Code, at least he had a haircut... Ayelet Zurer as Vittoria Vetra was ok, same as Ewan McGregor as Camerlengo who I doubt before... Overall, the movie's great, the story write with Dan Brown is brilliant, even they had a pretty big difference with the novel, but I'm ok with that... And the effects, it was stunning... If I haven't read the novel before, this movie could have a higher score and line up for my top 6 favorite movies of all time, but that already happened and I can't change that so this is the highest score I can give to a movie who was based on my favorite novel...
Another movie based on the book written by Dan Brown... If you haven't read the book, you would like this movie very much... Even if you already read the book, I think you'll still like it, just like me... =)

    Cute and inspiring.
I can see why America Ferrera was singled out after playing Ana in this film, a character that manages to touch its audience in every possible way. America delivers a fine performance alongside Lupe Ontiveros, Ana's invading mother. I must point out that both share an amaaazing amount of chemistry which makes the film even more believable.
    Worth many viewings.

Brilliant take on the hellish dramas of high school students. Acting is virtually flawless, my favorite performance being delivered by Teresa Palmer, who plays Melody.
My only major criticism is that the plot is overly ambitious for its restricted 1h30min timeframe. The lives of each of these six individuals are so intricate that I would have made a separate film for each of them. It's a shame that there is no closure to their problems once the film ends, but are rather overshadowed by yet another drama.
Still highly recommended, though, for its unique style. Just don't watch it when you're feeling down; it's a truly depressing film.
Check this out if you're really into dramas.
I found it quite depressing, I won't hide that from you, but if you're interested I strongly urge you to see this.
Congrats to first-time director Murali K. Thalluri :)

Haven't read the novel so I couldn't possibly compare this adaptation to its manuscript counterpart.
I did, however, enjoy it much much more than The Da Vinci Code, yet it really doesn't live up to the exaggerated publicity we have seen countless times prior to the release of this film.
The premise is rather simplistic and the suspense was rather lacking. Twist at the end was so predictable that I believe they were better off announcing it at the beginning of the film. Also, the "bad guy's" character (to use common vernacular) really wasn't developed enough and it seems we completely lost him after a while.
Despite this, I found the actors delivered decent performances. It was the setting and the atmosphere of the whole film that made the cut for me. Also the fact that it mirrored conspiracies and controversies surrounding the Catholic Church - not that I am for or against them. The latter does seem to get to me naturally.
Anyhow, if you don't like the genre, you should best stay away and rent it instead. Otherwise, I encourage you to go out and see it. It's short and sweet... and entertaining.

    p.s. I am torn between a 3-star rating and a 3.5-star rating. So I put 3.5, just in case :)
See this if you have time on your hands and are a fan of the genre (I stress the latter part).
I still do think that so far, Star Trek remains the best summer flick.
But I bet Terminator Salvation will steal the throne next week...

BRILLIANT take on Star Trek. Great cast (I originally thought Chris Pine would destroy the franchise), my favorite being Zachary Quinto (Spock). However, I must say Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin were a great addition to the cast.
Filled with action & drama; the best summer flick as of now. Seriously.
Worth every single penny... and beyond.
