In 1980 Miami, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug empire while succumbing to greed. what can i say Pacino gives an amazing performance that is both comic and tragic in this remake of the 1932 classic about corruption in America. Pacino's character wants the world and everything in it. That's what he gets. We are reminded to beware of what we wish for. on my list of Best movies i own ( look at all my list )
A brilliant movie. One of the very best science fiction movies of the 1990s, and one or Terry Gilliam's greatest achievements.A convict, sent back in time to stop a devastating plague, is sent too far back and is hospitalized as insane.

It is impossible to describe Top Gun, what is there to say? It is a perfect fun film. The characters are like no other and the soundtrack is probably the most appropriate accompaniment to a film in history. It is not the best film ever made, but its fun and should be a part of any DVD collection.
Plot Outline: The macho students of an elite US Flying school for advanced fighter pilots compete to be best in the class, and one romances the teacher.

unforgettable story written for the screen. Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise once again proved their versatility in acting. No couple could have done the role better. Ron Howard did a wonderful job of letting me glued to my seat in every scene. They were artistically directed. I love this film and will probably not get tired watching it.
Plot Summary: Joseph Donnelly, a young Irishman facing property eviction after his father's death, decides to take revenge on Daniel Christie...
David Aames takes all he has for granted; his wealth, his inherited publishing company, his good looks - his relationships. Especially his relationships. It catches up to him when a friend/sometimes sex-partner can't see their relationship the way he sees it. From that point, the movie takes a Lynchian twist that ultimately and literally pulls us into Aames' tortured psyche.

I find this movie VERY GOOD! In fact, the end nearly brought me to tears. This movie does something that shouldn't be, but it is. By the end of the movie, you feel SO SORRY for a drug dealing thief. It's amazing how they tell the story, and by the end you want to go see this man and say how sorry you were. I believe that it's one of Johnny's best roles and really makes you think some. This movie has been underrated by many people because it's about drugs, but the story is just a story, but the message it brings and the emotions it triggers, are lasting. I recommend this movie to anyone that wants to see a Good Film.
Plot Outline: The story of George Jung, the man who established the American cocaine market in the 1970's.
Two hundred and fifty years in the future, life as we know it is threatened by the arrival of Evil. Only the fifth element (played by Milla Jovovich) can stop the Evil from extinguishing life, as it tries to do every five thousand years. She is helped by ex-soldier, current-cab-driver, Corben Dallas (played by Bruce Willis), who is, in turn, helped by Prince/Arsenio clone, Ruby Rhod. Unfortunately, Evil is being assisted by Mr. Zorg (Gary Oldman), who seeks to profit from the chaos that Evil will bring, and his alien mercenaries.

Plot Outline: A boat has been destroyed, criminals are dead, and the key to this mystery lies with the only survivor and his twisted, convoluted story beginning with five career crooks in a seemingly random police lineup.
I was very impressed with the casting, everyone was great, and it was great to see some familiar faces Smith really presents a dramatic tone with his directing Smith is a genuine and modest filmmaker, we can only hope that he keeps making movies, and maybe he'll inspire more "Hollywood" directors to stick to good/original material rather than weak big budget movies with all the latest young stars stinking up the screen. Cheers to Kevin Smith, cheers to Clerks II.
Plot Outline: A calamity at Dante and Randall's shops sends them looking for new horizons - but they ultimately settle at Mooby's, a fictional Disney-McDonald's-style fast-food empire.
Memorable Quotes from
Clerks II
Dante Hicks: 'Porch monkey' is a racial slur against black people!
Randal Graves: Oh it is not! Coon, spook, spade, moolie, jigaboo, nig-nog, those are racial slurs!
The reviews for this movie were not great, but I saw this movie and loved it. That is the problem with some professional movie critics. For them a movie is not a rewarding experience unless it is a truly original idea that is artsy and different.
Victor (Leguizamo), is trying to escape his life as a drug dealer in the South Bronx. Enter Jack (Sarsgaard), a Wall Street investment banker with a business proposal that has Victor's name (and money) written all over it.

Plot Outline: The hopes and dreams of four ambitious people are shattered when their drug addictions begin spiraling out of control. Watching the addicts spiral out of control, we bear witness to the dirtiest, ugliest portions of the underworld addicts reside in. It is shocking and eye-opening but demands to be seen by both addicts and non-addicts alike.

This movie has taken a lot of stick. It was slated by critics when it came out and was blamed for wrecking Nicolas Cage's career. The thing I don't think people get is that it's not meant to be an epic, Oscar contender of a movie, it's just some brilliant "Bruck-buster" action at its best. Fast cars, quick editing and a great soundtrack
Plot Outline: A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother's life.
I recommend this to fans of Stone, of the movies I mentioned above, of Tarantino (he didn't approve, but as a fan of his, I did), and to anyone who is simply curious about it. It'll blow you away, in the good sense.
Plot Outline: Two victims of traumatized childhoods become lovers and psychopathic serial murderers irresponsibly glorified by the mass media.Natural Born Killers is a disturbing film. It is a great film as well. Visually it looks great and between all that violence there is a message.
O.K. Whether you like it or not, you can't disregard Armageddon. That it's not scientifically appropriate, that the plot has weak points etc. BUT SO WHAT???? Film making is an art form and you can't question the artist if there are people worth $600 million of box office, willing to see the movie. You can not tell the film maker how to make a movie. Armageddon was made to attract people's attention and it succeeds in it. You can't deny that..Yes. I accept every bad word told about the movie.
Nominated for 4 Oscars Best Effects, Sound Effects Editing
A lot of people are saying that it is a seven wannabe and so on. While watching this movie I did not think of Seven .. To me this movie stood out on it's own. I thought the cinematography was really cool in this movie. The suspense was gripping and jaw dropping in some scenes. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the acting was somewhat cheezy and bad but come on now. Most acting in horror movies is cheezy and over the top.If you liked this movie rent or buy Cube. If you liked Cube go see this movie. If you have a weak stomach and you are not into serial killer movies this isn't the movie for you.
Plot Outline: With a dead body laying between them, two men (Whannell and Elwes) wake up in the secure lair of a serial killer who's been nicknamed "Jigsaw" by the police because of his unusual calling card.

Despite that, this movie ranks alongside Dumb & Dumber, Meet the Parents, Kingpin, and American Pie as one of the best comedies of the last decade or so in my humble opinion. No it's not a classic, but it will stand the test of time as a very good comedy that you'll laugh at with each replay.
Plot Outline: Three men are disenchanted with life and try to recapture their college days
In a world filled with overheated, and frequently overpraised, gangster movies, it seems to me that Mike Newell's 'Donnie Brasco', the story of a cop who goes undercover to infiltrate the mob, is arguably overlooked. Based on real life events, it contains great performances from Johnny Depp and Al Pacino,
Plot Outline: An FBI undercover agent infilitrates the mob and finds himself identifying more with the mafia life to the expense of his regular

Larry Clark has broken the boundaries with this film. Not only is it one of the realist depictions of our nation's youth, but it also brings the fear of the AIDS virus closer to home. This is not a piece of fictitious work, this is brutal honesty in its rawest form. While many will knock this film because of the pornographic nature, I saw past that and witnessed the birth of the next plague. Writer Harmony Korine has taken the world of our children and transferred it to the big screen. I never once saw this as a shock film or disgusting, I saw honesty and truth behind every scene. This is really what is happening in our backyards. Kids are not as young as they used to be, and are growing up in a world with more possibilities and distractions than ever before. This is the modern world, and these are the newest leaders.
Plot Outline: An amoral, HIV-positive skateboarder sets out to deflower as many virgins as possible while a local girl who contracted his disease tries to save his next target from her same fate.
Quotes from Kids
Telly: When you are young not much matters, when you find something you like that's all you got. (talking about sex)
Telly: Virgins. I love 'em. No diseases, no loose as a goose pussy, no skank. No nothin. Just pure pleasure.
Plot Outline: Renton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out, despite the allure of the drugs and influence of friends .
An extremely competent look at the Scottish drug-Scene, Trainspotting is a perfect example of the potential of the UK industry to tell a story of tragedy, horror and hope in a manner that the American industry has yet to do without drifting into tired Cliche. While the manner and style of delivery are extremely funny and at times appear almost unreal, the fact remains that these characters are real. The clearly psychotic and alcoholic

Taxi Driver is one of the best films ever made. This is one of those films that you do not get tired of seeing and every time you watch it you realize a little detail that you have not seen before. Excellent actors, a good director, an impressive soundtrack and a real story are the main appeals of this film.
Plot Outline: A mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran works as nighttime taxi driver in a city whose perceived decadence and sleaze feeds his urge to violently lash out.

This movie is seriously entertaining. I sat and watched it and was pleasantly surprised as I didn't really like Ryan Phillipe as an actor. But this film changed my view, he was very believable and entertaining.
Plot Outline: Kathryn makes a bet that her step-brother, Sebastian, won't be able to bed Annette (a virgin, who wants to wait until love). If he loses, Kathryn gets his Jaguar, if he wins, he gets Kathryn.
Plot Summary: Film adaptation of street tough Jim Carroll's epistle about his kaleidoscopic free fall into the harrowing world of drug addiction...The film was adapted from Jim Carroll's novel "The basketball diaries" which is a autobiographical chronic of the lives of five kids until they become youth. It is a picture of bad kids who start with small crimes and end up braking bones and more.
Larry Flynt is an easy guy to hate. This film takes you into his world, as nightclub owner turned Hustler magazine publisher. His sudden rise to success during the mid 70's sets the stage for a stunning series of prosecutions, lawsuits, prison sentences, an assassination attempt, and finally a case in the Supreme Court where Flynt finally has a major court victory.
Plot Outline: A partially idealized film of the controversial pornography publisher and how he became a defender of free speech for all people.
Nominated for 2 Oscars.Best Actor in a Leading Role
Woody Harrelson
The directing was unobtrusive and beautiful, for the most part just letting the action unfold, which is exactly the way it should have been done. It's a feel-good movie that does that and more, and I think nothing I've seen in the movies is as touching as the scene in the motel where Charlie discovers who "Rain Man" really is. I give this movie a 10 out of 10. Absolutely wonderful.

"Raging Bull" isn't the average, stereotypical underdog boxing movie, because it isn't really about boxing at all. Like most great movies, its focus is much deeper. It came out in 1980, earned Robert De Niro a Best Actor Academy Award, and was marked down as another solid triumph by director Martin Scorsese, whose previous 1976 outing with De Niro earned them both critical acclaim (and for De Niro, an Oscar nomination, although he would actually earn an Oscar for "Raging Bull" four years later).
Plot Outline: A biographical film about the middleweight champ, the physically tough, but emotionally self-destructive

Plot Outline: Five total strangers teamed up for the perfect crime. But something went wrong. Something got f---ed up. One of the men is the rat, an infiltrator working for the cops. But who?
I watched this movie for the first time without knowing what the movie was about. I remember hearing about but I had never seen it. So when it first came out on DVD, I bought it without ever watching it before. In Tarantino I trust. For good reason. This is a classic movie, a throwback. A movie about a jewel heist gone wrong and the consequences of working with strangers. This flick has a great cast, great script, and flawless direction. Taratino films are great because they stress the story more than anything else. In all of his movies, the script is strong enough to carry the movie. Now add good over the top acting and you have a hit. The realism of this movie is what grabs you. You really feel like you are in that abandoned warehouse. If felt privileged to have bought such a movie without watching it first. An instant classic. I love this movie!
Plot Outline: With a childhood tragedy that overshadowed their lives, three men are reunited by circumstance when one loses a daughter. What might appear as a normal murder mystery is more. The acting, particularly from Robbins and Penn, is immaculate. Robbins is still recovering from child sexual abuse along time ago. Penn, so realistically and amazingly, mourns over the loss of his daughter. Laurence Fishburne (playing cop Whitey) is as smart talking as ever, whilst Kevin Bacon gives a solid performance as the homicide cop investigating the case.
Won 2 Oscars Best Actor in a Leading Role Sean Penn

'Snake eyes' is a film, which in my opinion has always been extremely underrated. Perhaps it was the expectation associated with De Palma, after all this movie followed 'Carlito's way' and 'Mission Impossible',two fantastic films. Some might see this film as a disappointment but i think 'Snake Eyes' contains some of De Palma's best work.
This is one great movie, but the thing that really made it special was Wesley Snipes portrayal of a totally despicable character in Nino Brown. He didn't portray Nino as the stereotypical drug dealer. Instead he portrayed Nino as a highly intelligent man who you wonder what would have happened if he had put his intelligence to more productive pursuits. Also, Ice-T wasn't bad in his first major role and you can see how much he has improved by watching Law and Order: SVU.
Plot Outline: A crime lord ascends to power and becomes megamanical while a maverick police detective vows to stop him.

A private investigator is hired to discover if a "snuff film" is authentic or not A small, seemingly innocuous plastic reel of film leads surveillance specialist Tom Welles (Nicolas Cage) down an increasingly dark and frightening path. With the help of the streetwise Max (Joaquin Phoenix), Welles relentlessly follows a bizarre trail of evidence to determine the fate of a complete stranger. As his work turns into obsession, he drifts farther and farther away from his wife (Catherine Keener), family and simple life as a small-town private eye.
I can't believe it took me so long to finally see this movie and I must admit I had never seen any work by Billy Bob Thornton. Without a doubt, Sling Blade is one of the finest pieces of work ever put on film. Billy Bob's performance as Karl Childers is absolutely riveting!
Plot Outline: Karl Childers, a simple man hospitalized since his childhood murder of his mother and her lover, is released to start a new life in a small town.

Denzel Washington is so convincing as Rubin Carter that one forgets that he is, indeed, an actor playing a role. From the beginning to the end, Denzel is perfect. The film made me think about how poverty and prejudice can ruin a person's life when misfortune,
This film tells the story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, an African-American man who rose above his troubled youth to become a top contender for the middle-weight boxing title.

Casino has to be one of the most underrated films that Martin Scorsese directed in the nineties. The acting by the leads is good and the script is excellent. Robert Deniro gave an Oscar worthy performance and Joes Pesci is chilling yet funny again. Even Sharon Stone is good in this brilliant film
Plot Outline: Greed, deception, money, power, and murder occur between two mobster best friends and a trophy wife over a gambling empire.
Nominated for Oscar Best Actress in a Leading Role

The rules of attraction is by far one of the most original films this decade. It is worth watching alone for the corridor scene, the beginning and the journey through victors travels. The actors in the film portray their roles perfectly. James van der beek really matures since his days from Dawson's creek to show how versatile he can be using a range of different emotions to show Sean as a sensitive yet sinister character.
Plot Outline: The incredibly spoiled and overprivileged students of Camden College are a backdrop for an unusual love triangle between a drug dealer, a virgin and a bisexual classmate.
Plot Outline: After his wife is murdered, a man drifts into a world populated by thugs and speed junkies.
its was so good go rent this now if you my friend lol If you are looking for a decent mystery, darkish thriller, some noir, drugs, love lost, and cops, then you could not go far wrong renting The Salton Sea.

This film has so many wonderful points, I can't list them all. I'm just going to say that "enjoy your dinner Richard" was a classic cinematic moment. A great thing about this film is that it's a wonderful representation of a microcosm of todays society. It shows that no matter how hard you try to escape all the wrongs in life, and all of your daily annoyances, they'll still be there no matter where you escape to.
Plot Outline: Not quite ready to surrender himself to responsibility or mainstream society, a young American travels to Asia and discovers he is not alone in his feelings.
I think the people who reviewed this film are a bit warped for thinking of it as anything less than a masterpiece. This film comes from the glorious days of Johnny Depp taking obscure roles in films and totally immersing himself in the character. Benecio Del Toro's performance was second to none, and I cannot for the life of me comprehend why someone would think this to be the "worst movie ever". God save us that we actually have to think a little when we sit in those awful theatre seats.
Plot Outline: An oddball journalist and his psychopathic lawyer travel to Las Vegas for a series of psychadelic escapades.
An altar boy is accused of murdering a priest, and the truth is buried several layers deep.but the love story totally un-necessary, Norton is truly brilliant in his role as a confused young man, (on my list of ending's you never see coming and on my list of Best movies i own )
loved it 4 words Hyper Action-packed Drug-induced Insane and one hell of a good movie
Plot Outline: Professional assassin Chev Chelios (Statham) learns his rival (Cantillo) has injected him with a poison that will kill him if his heart rate drops.
is another true sport story from Disney is generally an inspiring true-life tale of a 30-year-old bartender who hasn't played a game of college ball who works hard and becomes a star. It's a little cliché, but that didn't stop me from wanting to cheer .is certainly realistic and will be enjoyed more by an adult or a teen.
Plot Summary:From the producers of "The Rookie", this inspiring sports movie will star Mark Wahlberg as a Philadelphia Eagles fan .one day to show up for an open tryout for his favorite NFL team, only to see his wildest dreams come true many be ?

Sports movies are tough to make. Creating the essence of the actual event is the toughest. Most films fall short in the editing process of the event or through sheer carelessness and lack of knowledge. ANY GIVEN SUNDAY is somewhat of an exception. It is hard-hitting and bloody like NORTH DALLAS FORTY. It is actually conventional when you think about it, like a warped RUDY. It is a hell of a lot more realistic than say, NECESSARY ROUGHNESS.
Plot Outline: "Any Given Sunday" is a behind the scenes look at the life and death struggles of modern day gladiators and those who lead them.
Apocalypse Now is a pure example of method filmmaking. It is the true craftmanship of an essential filmmaker. The art direction, editing and sound effects are partially a small fragment which makes this film classical and memorable. What drives the integrity and semblance of the film is the storyline, acting and inner message. The inner message evidently enough is that war is hell, or in other words, hell is war.
Plot Outline:Captain Willard (Martin Sheen), whose mission is "Terminate with extreme prejudice", receives orders to seek out a renegade military outpost led by a mysterious Colonel Kurtz (Brando) during the Vietnam war.
A funny film that'll keep you laughing from beginning to end. Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin play the ultimate slackers. All they want to do is partying and smoke a lot of dope. This movie was followed by several sequels.
Highly recommended.
Plot Outline: Two stoners unknowingly smuggle a van - made entirely of marijuana - from Mexico to L.A., with incompetent Sgt. Stedenko on their trail.
I really enjoyed Radio and think it was one of the nicest movies I have seen. I think it a movie for everyone and teaches many lessons about life. I was also amazed to find out that the move was based on a real man. With all the tough road blocks Radio came across he continued to move forward even though the future was uncertain and he didn't have the mental capacity to understand much around him! I thought that Cuba Gooding Jr. played a tremendous role and should win an Oscar for this. I felt for him so much
Plot Outline: The story of a high school coach and the developmentally challenged man whom he took under his wing.
I'll be totally honest and confirm to you that everything what they say about this movie is true. It's a brilliantly animated masterpiece with lots of humor that actually works and a plot that really brings tears to your eyes from time to time.
Plot Outline: A father-son underwater adventure featuring Nemo, a boy clownfish, stolen from his coral reef home. His timid father must then search the ocean to find him
This movie is a realistic portrayal of the meth lifestyle, not because it's a realistic movie, but because it's a bunch of tweakers very busy doing nothing. My friend and I laughed during the whole movie because we both knew people who fit the characters in the film perfectly. If you don't know anyone into drugs this movie probably won't appeal to you. The moviemakers get a lot of facets of the lifestyle spot-on,In the genre of drug movies, this one has to be in my opinion one of the best.
Plot Outline: An out-of-control speed freak (Schwartzman) is introduced his drug of choice's creator (Rourke) by his dealer (Leguizamo). A massive three-day adventure ensues (with Fugit, Murphy, and Suvari in tow).
Spike Lee's latest effort is an amazing heist thriller that will keep your attention for the whole film. A cop has to talk down a bank robber after the criminal's perfect heist spirals into a hostage situation Quote"Pay strict attention to what I say because I choose my words carefully and I never repeat myself." LOL
'Ginger Snaps', while not totally perfect, is one of the freshest horror movies I've seen in ages, and one of the best werewolf movies of recent years. The teens act and talk like REAL PEOPLE, and the honesty about sex, drugs and puberty is rarely seen in contemporary movies, horror or otherwise.I said not totally perfect because the climax was a bit of a let down.
Plot Outline: This film uses werewolfism as a metaphor for puberty. One of the Fitzgerald sisters, suburban goth girl outcasts, gets bitten by something in the woods (and it ain't a neighborhood dog).
on my list of movie i have seen because of flixster
: I was encouraged to see this because it was hailed as one of the best `teen comedies', a genre revived more recently by `American Pie'. This is an amusing but also touching tale of a bunch of teenagers caught between childhood and adulthood (as teenagers tend to be..).
Plot Outline: A story of a group of California teenagers who enjoy malls, sex and rock n' roll.
Memorable Quote Mike Damone: You are a wuss: part wimp, and part pussy.
. "Harold and Kumar" is not a cinematic masterpiece, but it is a lot of fun. John Cho is a talented reactive actor, some of his expression are priceless. Kal Penn is a great smart guy rebel, and a good actor. The two together are a solid comic team. I would see, for example "Harold and Kumar Go to Disneyland".
Plot Summary:Two twenty-something stoner roommates -- one a Korean American investment banker; the other an Indian American medical school candidate -- go through a life changing journey, as they spend a night roaming the state of New Jersey in search of White Castle hamburgers.
Half baked is hilarious movie to me. Its a pothead manifestation film that doesn't take it self seriously and is pretty hilarious throughout. Dave Chapelle is very funny in the lead and to me is a better lead comedy actor than the likes of Martin Lawrence and even Chris Rock. Guillermo Diaz is also very good as Scarface. Rachel True provides good eye candy and decent performance as the female lead. This is not an Oscar film, but hilarious to watch with buddies and after watching it 3 times it doesn't get old. Its a funny screenplay, decent comedic direction and good performances, worth a look for any fan of comedy,
Plot Outline: The story of three not so bright men who come up with a series of crazy schemes to get a friend out of jail.
I'd have to say that Porky's was the first important teen movie of the 80s. What I like most about this movie is that it didn't contain any of the trademark really deep moments of discovery and truth that laid beneath the comedy of John Hughes's movies. It was just a movie that was really funny and can probably be considered a flip-off to the really nice prim and properness that most people still associate with the 50s. I know the movie is anything but deep and profound, but seeing as how other teen movies like She's All That and Crossroads are nothing shy of cheesy garbage, I was thrilled to discover a teen movie which focuses on teens who are anxious to get laid. I mean, during adolescence, weren't we all so curious about sex that it almost hurt if we couldn't get so much as a small helping of it?
Plot Outline: Set in 1954, a group of Florida high schoolers seek out to lose their virginity which leads them to seek revenge on a sleazy nightclub owner and his redneck sheriff brother for harassing them.
This is one of the best Christmas movie of all times. The casting is brilliant, and the chemistry between all the characters is very much present. Billy Bob Thornton was especially funny as the loser in life who dons the red suit every Christmas. Just seeing Santa behaving drunken and swearing every other word tells you how different this is from the typical Christmas family friendly movies.
Bernie Mac was funny in his supporting role, and Tony Cox was OK. Billy Bob was phenomenal.
Plot Outline: A miserable conman and his partner pose as Santa and his Little Helper to rob department stores on Christmas Eve. But they run into problems when the conman befriends a troubled kid, and the security boss discovers the plot.
Did I like the film? You bet. It's Tim Burton's best work without a doubt. Is it for everybody? Probably not. Many will find it confusing and pointless, but good fantasy is like that. All I can say is, relax and let it happen. You won't regret it.
Nominated for OscarBest Music, Original Score Danny Elfman
Plot Outline: A story about a son trying to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths his father told him about himself.
This was one of my favorite movies in 2003. Will Ferrell is brilliant as the Elf. The supporting cast is great too, especially Bob Newhart as his elf "dad". The characters are well written and it is a refreshing film to get lost in. Will Ferrell plays the elf with such innocence, he is so funny! The story progresses nicely, there are many lessons to be learned as you watch this movie. It touched my heart in many ways. I highly recommend this movie for kids AND adults, you won't regret it. Treat yourself and watch this "original" movie. Hollywood needs to make more like this.
Plot Outline: After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity.
fucked up must see I anxiously waited for this film to be released---eagerly anticipating every frame, and I was not disappointed when I "saw" the first screening this afternoon. From the opening scene thru the end? I found myself being transported into the big screen, taken for one of the wildest rides I have ever experienced,
Plot Outline: Jigsaw locks a few unlucky people in a booby trapped shelter and they must find a way out before they inhale too much of a lethal nerve gas and die. But they must watch out, for the traps Jigsaw has set in the shelter lead to death also
I've become a big fan of Walter Hill's movies and this one is as good as ever. It's not a particularly cheery film, but it's still enjoyable. Bruce Willis and Christopher Walken are both terrific in their roles. Walken plays as good a bad guy as ever, and Willis is good as the ambiguous lead character.
The gun battles are staged excellently and the music by Ry Cooder works very well with the picture. It's very much a guy film, though. There are only two women who play big parts in the film, but they don't appear very often.
Plot Outline: A drifting gunslinger-for-hire finds himself in the middle of an ongoing war between the Irish and Italian mafia in a Prohibition era ghost town.
this is the one of my favorite van dam movies. I think that it is also one of his best films. We watch his character train throughout the movie for a fight at the end. The martial arts throughout are very well done. This is one of those films you can watch every time it is on TV.
Plot Summary Kurt Sloan is the corner-man for his brother, U.S. kickboxing champion Eric Sloan. When Kurt witnesses his brother become maliciously paralyzed in the ring by Thailand champion Tong Po, Kurt vows revenge. It's the funniest golf movie since the great Caddyshack with an all-star cast including: Richard Kiel, Allen Covert, Julie Bowen, Kevin Nealon, and Carl Weathers. They were all great and had their funny moments which I loved.
Plot Outline: A rejected hockey player puts his skills to the golf course to save his grandmother's house.
C'mon, now, you know you can't resist those cute little kids with hockey sticks! And no one can resist Emilio Estevez! lol Put them together, and, damn, have you got one super cool movie!
Gordon Bombay, a hotshot lawyer, is haunted by memories of his childhood, when, as the star player in his champion hockey team, he lost the winning goal in a shootout, thereby losing the game, and the approval of his coach. When the court orders him to coach a peewee hockey team, the worst in the league,
A man confesses to an FBI agent his family's story of how his religious fanatic father's visions lead to a series of murders to destroy supposed "demons." not really expecting too much from it. But it surprised me a bit, and i felt it was a rather fresh take on the tired serial killer/horror-genre. Bill Paxton good job both directing and acting here.. (on my list of ending's you never see coming and On my list of Best movies i own )
First off, I'd like to say that this film is everything a South Park/Trey Parker devotee could hope for. It's sly, it's vulgar, it's full of gore/profanity/violence/nudity, and it is made entirely with marionettes.
Plot Outline: Marionette superheroes fight to end terrorism and put tired celebrities out of their misery.
The entire cast was perfect, great screenplay and awesome settings...major props to the director Taylor Hackford and crew for doing such a splendid job in bringing the life of Ray Charles to the screen so flawlessly.
Plot Outline: The life and career of the legendary popular music pianist, Ray Charles
Won 2 Oscars. Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role Jamie Foxx
''Anchorman" is completely over the top, and ignores any boundaries. That really makes it work. "Anchorman" is broad stroke farce done well. Will Ferrell demonstrates great comedic gifts.
Plot Outline: Ron Burgundy is San Diego's top rated newsman in the male dominated broadcasting of the 1970's, but that's all about to change when a new female employee with ambition to burn arrives in his office.
In what is arguably the best outdoor adventure film of all time,The director, John Boorman, chose to use local people, not actors, to portray secondary characters. These locals imbue the film with a depth of characterization unequaled in film history. No central casting "actors" could ever come close to these people's remarkable faces, voices, or actions. I don't recall a film wherein the secondary characters are so realistic and colorful. As much as anything else, it is this gritty realism that makes this film so amazing.
Plot Outline: Intent on seeing the Cahulawassee River before it's turned into one huge lake, outdoor fanatic Lewis Medlock takes his friends on a river-rafting trip they'll never forget into the dangerous American back-country.
Nominated for 3 Oscars.Best Director John Boorman Best Film Editing Tom Priestley Best Picture John Boorman

CB4" is worth seeing if you are a fan of rap music or not , Chris Rock, or lowball cultural humor. It has some extremely funny scenes, The scene with Euripides working as a gay phone sex operator, "Straight Outta Locash" and "Sweat of my Balls" are particulary funny some great satirical rap songs, and a really stupid plot line. on my list of moives that should be remade (funny)
The Problem child movies are very funny!John Ritter,Amy Yasbec, and Jack Warden, and Michael Richards are all good in the film!It is always sad to to see the great late wrestler Kerry Von Erich. The film has some of the more hilarious scenes ever!.If you like comedy film with bratty kids then check this out!
Plot Summary: A young boy is just short of a monster. He is adopted by a loving man and his wacky wife. The laughs keep coming as the boy pushes them to the limits.
I thought Drop Dead Fred was a wonderfully magic film as it has a brilliant sense of humour, a beautiful friendship, love , a moving end and -of course- Rik Mayall's brilliant British humour.i love this as a kid and have not seen it in 10 years i cant fined it anywere
Plot Outline: A young woman finds her already unstable life rocked by the presence of a rambunctious imaginary friend from childhood.
The Last Unicorn stands out as that rarest of beasts: a film far better than the book. This can be attributed to the fact that the book's author, Peter S. Beagle, was forced by the constraints of film to pare his work down to the bare essentials. The Last Unicorn is marketed as a children's film, but it's far more than that -- a tale of redemption, of the search for identity, truth, and lost innocence. Molly Grue's meeting with the Unicorn stands as one of the most poignant moments in cinema. In my opinion this is a beautiful movie that deserves a really high mark..
Plot Outline: A brave unicorn and a magician fight an evil king who is obsessed with attempting to capture the world's unicorns.
If you have not seen this your crazy Best Picture at the Academy Award and its on dvd so you should go get it now ...THE DEPARTED keeps the basic structure of the original, it is very much its own movie, so much so that the screenwriter, William Monahan, didn't even watch the original film while adapting its screenplay, thus enabling him to infuse the script with his, and Scorsese's, respective visions. All the actors are first-rate and turn in some of their best performances to date.
