Meh. It's an ok watch. But have seen better action movies.

It was a really interesting concept, and reminded me of the show Heroes, just not as good. Some of the special effects were horrible, like the scene where Chris Evans character is getting smashed into the walls in mid-air. Looked fake. Some of it was predictable, and some of it, I honestly did not see coming. Which is good.

It's enough of a thrill to keep you entertained for a couple of hours, but nothing more. It's not a very memorable movie. And I'm not gonna hold this against Dakota. I will continue to be a fan of hers, and can't wait to see more of her in the future.

I didn't remember the last time I sat in the theatre, thrilled of what's going to happen next on the big screen but also at the same time wishing to stay in the moment like, forever. That was exactly what happened when I saw this epic flick. I mean, I've been waiting for this movie FOREVER and Half Blood Prince turned out exceeded my expectations. I've been counting on director David Yates to not ruin the book moments and replace them with rubbish he showed on screen (look what Mike Newell did to Goblet of Fire!).
Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince did surprise me a lot. The movie was a lot darker and more grown up in every way than the previous installments. Unlike the first to the fourth franchises, David Yates refuse to serve french fries and serve steak instead. Well I assume those who didn't read the book will not enjoy it as much as those who did.
I wanted to grant this latest Harry Potter installment whole five stars. But despite my irrevocable love for J.K. Rowling's works, there are few disatisfactions occured, I'm afraid. The first lack was on the juvenile Voldemort's emotional approach to the viewers. Yes, the honorable director did put up some scenes written in the book. But I think the movie scenes just passed by, I supposed the director tended to 'skip the boring parts' so the audience don't fall hopelessly asleep on their seats. Which was rather unwise, since Yates wasted too much of his precious times adding some lame-o adolescent love affairs. And it was a shame since Voldemort's pasts are supposedly the book's strongest moments, the very first bite of the main course. The second let-down I happened to notice was that Yates removed some memorable scenes in the book, such as the Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour's wedding and how emotional it was when Bill was attacked by the nasty Fenrir Greyback, and not to mention my favourite part of the book: The Gaunt! I was counting on David Yates to create something exactly just like what J.K. Rowling portrayed in her writings. I mean, come on, they didn't even mention anything about The Gaunt family. Then how on earth people will understand the hatred Voldemort had to bear? I believe The Half Blood Prince was not just another kid movie that only defines people as simply a hero or a villain.
Anyway, is it just me or Draco Malfoy was irresistably hot?? :p

Love it! David Yates at his best!

I have to say this was actually really funny. The laughs just kept coming and coming. This seems like the movie you could keep quoting from all day. Is it the best picture of this year or even the summer? No. But it it's still pretty awesome in it's own right. I personally want to see more of Zach Galifianakis (Alan) thought he was the most hilarious, I even kind of liked his beer belly.

This is the kind of movie that makes me wish I would have some crazy memories like that...and yet maybe not. I don't think waking up to a tiger in the bathroom, or finding out I had a missing tooth would be all that great. But watching it sure is.

I loved this movie, and I think they did a great job with that. Obviously some scenes were different from the book (What else is new) but they did a great job anyway. They focus a lot more on the love triangles in this movie than the book did, and less on the fighting scenes I felt.

This movie did the comedy part great, everyone was just bursting out laughing a all the funny scenes, like with ron and the love potion and harry and his luck serum. It was just great.

And they did all the Dramatic scenes well too. I think Tom Felton deserves more recognition then he actually receives. He was absolutely brilliant. It was quite a change from the last movies, because we get to see him at more dark and emotional time. I felt like giving him a hug. The poor guy, you could see it in his eyes that he hated what he had to do. And Helena plays crazy perfectly.

Like I mentioned earlier all the teen romance was a lot more prominent. And they expanded the whole Hermione and Ron love story a bit. But I liked it anyway because I had that super goofy, happy grin on my face seeing them secretly liking each other but not really saying anything. Although Harry knows Hermione's love for him in this, since she practically tells him in the scene after Lavender kisses Ron and she says to Harry through tears "Is this how it feels when you see Dean kissing Ginny"? So there was lots of moments where you couldn't help but make the "awwww" sound.

The Special effects were great. Visually spectacular. With the bridge crashing down in the first sequence, the whole fire scene with Bellatrix, and the separate fire scene with Dumbledore.

And even though I knew what was going to happen, I was completely sad at the end of the film. I won't name any names for those who haven't read the books or read spoilers...but a major character dies.

So overall, I was immensely pleased with it. I think it just might be my favourite out of all of them so far.

If you only ever get to see one serial killer movie in your life, make it this one.
    Seven (Se7en) Seven (Se7en)
    by xGary
A retiring detective and his young successor investigate a series of bizarre murders based on the seven deadly sins. The lukewarm reception for David Fincher's debut Alien 3 resulted in most writing him off as another style over substance hack from the MTV generation, but boy did he learn from his mistakes. No-one was expecting his follow up to be much of interest; let alone a virtual modern masterpiece. Fincher had clearly been studying the stylistic hallmarks of Ridley Scott, and the dark, brooding atmosphere crossed with artistic visuals are very much in his tradition. Although the formula of world-weary educated gentleman cop teamed up with a young hot head is hardly an original one, excellent performances and intelligent writing steer the material clear of cliche, and the imagery of the grotesque never descends into unnecessary gore or sensationalism. Complimented by a suitably claustrophobic soundtrack and a brilliantly unpredictable plot twist, I struggle to see how this film could have been any better. In the absurdly overcrowded marketplace of the serial killer movie, this stands head and shoulders above the rest as the very, very best of the genre. And yes, that includes the over-rated Silence Of The Lambs.

A newlywed arrives to find her adoptive family murdered and makes an alliance with a bandit and a mysterious drifter to unite against their killer. Sergio Leone's "dance of death" is probably his most artistic film; what doesn't happen on screen is just as important as what does. It is almost an examination of a difference in the mindset of the sexes. The only female protagonist, played by Claudia Cardinale, is the only one who truly embraces life, and is willing to do whatever it takes to survive. Robards' bandit, Bronson's revenge driven gunman and Fonda's steely eyed assassin not only expect death, but almost welcome it. This film is not about a bullet riddled slam bang finale; it's about a series of events and circumstances leading up to a single point in time, and is all the more powerful for it. Reeking atmosphere and tension, Leone's visuals have never been better and Fonda who is the true central character of the film is perfectly cast against type, his piercing blue eyes almost the opposite of Bronson's emotionless slits. The soundtrack is perhaps a little heavy handed in places and the 2hr 40min running time may seem a little daunting to some, but it's the perfect western for people who prefer them arthouse rather than action packed.

A very heart wrenching movie. Very moving. Cried throughout the movie. I think fans of the book will be happy with this. Follows closely to the book. Not just scenes or lines but how you'll get Anna's side or Jesse's side. Of course there are some scenes that had to be left out, but thats understandable. However the ending is completely different from the book. But truth be told, I like the movie ending better. I thought it fit really well. I loved the cast for this. The actor who plays Jesse ( the older brother) looked a little young, but he did a great job regardless. I really liked this film. And I recommend you to go see this. Just make sure you bring some kleenex.

One shot, one gag, 90 seconds of film.

This is Bambi Meets Godzilla, a film I found because of the wonderful quickrate system on Flix. Upon reading the title I knew I had to see it. It was totally my kind of thing.

    Guess what? It's on YouTube.

I ask you all to indulge in this hilarious short. It'll put a big smile on your face.

Bambi Meets Godzilla! The title outlines the plot of this very short 90-second cartoon quite efficiently, thus reiteration would be redundant. It's basically 10 seconds of actual action sandwiched between the opening and closing credits.

This is a classic cartoon unmatchable for its sheer audacity and imagination. I mean, who would've thought anyone would ever make a movie about a Walt Disney character coming across the mammoth creature of myth!? It's just totally out of the blue and random, and in turn utterly brilliant. The artist behind this exceptional creation apparently made this little film for a school project when his originally-planned live action movie was not going to be completed on time.

In 1994 this hilarious gem of a film was voted as #38 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by members of the animation field. This was very well deserved. Surely you can spare 90 seconds of your time watching this concoction of subtle comedy ("Bambi's wardrobe designed by...") and just good old-fashioned laughs. One shot, one main gag. Nuff said.

You'll find it right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAVYYe87b9w

In 1999, another artist created a sequel - Son of Bambi Meets Godzilla.

There was lots of explosions and cool special effects. For the most part, I liked the script, there was a couple of cheesy lines here and there (mostly from the Transformers), but funny overall. I enjoyed watching it, but I have to say that I liked the first film better. Here were some of my fave parts and if you don't like spoilers then don't read on. Isabel Lucas as a Transformer was genius. Maybe not her acting, but the idea that they could hide as human too, didn't see that coming. The part where Sam almost dies. I mean I love Shia and all, but it totally had my heart wrenched. Again just totally shocked me. I think it would have been a cool ending.

All in all, it was good. I liked the movie. Do you have to think much? No. Was it better than the first? No but don't let that discourage you. I'm sure many people will have a good time watching this movie.
