Ivan Brugere (pizzicatoiv)

One of my favorite films. Wong Chi-Ming is simply a super-hero character and could hardly be played better. Lai's character is only matched by "The Killer's Agent." Some images of this film are imprinted with me: the black-and-white waterfall scene with Zhiwu Hu and his unrequited love. Every scene (with Wong) with the Massive Attack dub track, and (with Zhiwu) his first meeting with his love, on the phone, his head silently over her shoulder. This film is beautiful. My favorite Wong Kar Wai. period.
