The Man with Two Brains
R
This movie is both incredibly brilliant and unbelievably stupid. I totally love it! When Steve Martin was funny, he was hysterically funny! Too bad he had to get old and lose his sense of humor. Any fan of Steve Martin has to see this movie to truly appreciate his brilliance. And where else can you hear the line "But I can't fuck a gorilla!"
Dog Soldiers
R
This movie was wicked! Definitely one of the best werewolf movies I have ever seen. We actually had likeable, well-rounded heroes trying to stay alive against virtually indestructible werewolves. Lots of blood and gore, lots of gunplay, and lots of action. This is a very impressive debut for Neil Marshall - kudos to him!
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
R
This one really surprised me. It was standard teen slasher fare until the ending which I was totally not expecting. The performances were good, and the gore scenes (of which there weren't that many) were well-done. For an indie flick I give this a thumbs-up for some promising new filmmakers.
The Dark Knight
PG-13
This was awesome! By far, the best Batman movie I've ever seen, and I loved Tim Burton's original. Ledger's Joker is psychotic, completely deranged, as well as completely self-destructive and funny. My only complaint was that I wished there was a Joker back story. How did he really get those scars? And why did he turn out the way he did? Maybe it's better not knowing.
No Country for Old Men
R
For the most part, I enjoyed this film. But is it too much to ask for a film that has a good ending? Instead of a decent conclusion, this film just kind of grinds to a halt. I'll admit that the performances were great, especially Javier Bardem. But the storyline just seems to go on too long before it unravels and falls apart.

1.
The Evil Dead
NC-17
One of the best independent horror films of all time. I love Sam Raimi, I love Bruce Campbell, I love the unrelenting gore, and I love the bad acting. This movie has it all!!!!!!
2.
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
R
Arguably, the best action movie ever made. We don't need a muscle-bound Stallone or Schwarzenegger. We just need a pissed off Mel Gibson driving a hot car. Hardly any dialogue, very few female characters, but more car crashes than you can shake a stick at. I will never get tired of this movie.
3.
Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror)
R
This movie rules! Definitely the best half of the Grindhouse double-feature. This is one of the most absurd, over-the-top and fun movies I have seen in a long time. It was completely enjoyable and Robert Rodriguez proves once again that he is a genius! If he could only stick to making horror films and not stupid "Spy Kids" crap, he would be my favorite director.
4.
Shaun of the Dead
R
Definitely, the best zombie comedy I have ever seen. My favorite moments are when Shaun walks to the store, hung-over and completely oblivious to the zombie apocalypse that has happened all around him.
5.
Clerks
R
One of the funniest and most true-to-life comedies I have ever seen. Anyone who has worked in a retail environment can appreciate this. I laugh hysterically every time I see it.
6.
Pulp Fiction
R
This has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Tarantino writes some of the best dialogue ever.

Mirrors
by JunyThere's few spooky & gory moments. The leading actors deliver decent performances but my problem is about the mediocre plot that doesn't make too much sense. The ending was pointless too. This was an average film that won't be in my list of favorite horror films of the year.Aja join others in the wrong path of remaking horror films from Asia.Big Mistake!
Flixster - Share MoviesAverage horror film but worth a dvd rental.Better off waiting when it comes out on dvd ,in my opinion.

Night of the Demons II
by DCWell I definitely liked the first one better, but this was still an good entertaining horror flick...
IMDb info:
Angela, the universe's most unpleasant party crasher, returns! Angela's sister, Mouse, is taken by her bullying Catholic school classmates to a party at Angela's favorite haunt, and before long, everybody's being turned into demons and only a butt-kickin' nun, who wields her ruler like a mighty sword of steel, can save the day.

Waz (The Killing Gene )(W Delta Z)
by JunyIs an average thriller/horror flick with few graphic scenes that are well done but the film lacks in suspense, besides it reveals everything too quick related to the killer & at times the film turns out predictable.Better than few torture porn films i seen in recent years & the film goes at a good pace. Some people are comparing this to such films as "Saw" & "Seven",to me is just a revenge film. What disappoints me the most is this gimmick for unrated dvds, specially when i find out that the most brutal & gruesome torture scene was left out from the movie & you can see it at the deleted scenes in the dvd special features.

It was ok & worth a rental.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
by DCThe movie was ok.
I didn't think the first one was so good but better then this one...
It was kinda boring, it wasn't like badass scenes with big fights..
But ill guess if your a fan of Hellboy you will like this one aswell i think.
IMDb info:
The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so as Hellboy and his team returns they must save the world from the rebellious creatures. Now, as the creatures who inhabit the spiritual realm gear-up for an all out attack on the human plane, the only one capable of saving the Earth is a tough-talking hellspawn rejected by both worlds.

I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this! This movie was my first Troma expierence and I just wanted to share it with all my friends. I seen the Toxic Avenger when I was like 5, but didn't know what Troma was at the time. I bought this dvd at Suncoast about 10 years ago and fell in love with Troma. This has got to be one of the funniest, stupidest movies I have ever seen. You can find this and any other Troma movies at WWW.TROMA.COM. Check it out.
