My Favorite Movies

One of the best independent horror films of all time. I love Sam Raimi, I love Bruce Campbell, I love the unrelenting gore, and I love the bad acting. This movie has it all!!!!!!

Arguably, the best action movie ever made. We don't need a muscle-bound Stallone or Schwarzenegger. We just need a pissed off Mel Gibson driving a hot car. Hardly any dialogue, very few female characters, but more car crashes than you can shake a stick at. I will never get tired of this movie.

This movie rules! Definitely the best half of the Grindhouse double-feature. This is one of the most absurd, over-the-top and fun movies I have seen in a long time. It was completely enjoyable and Robert Rodriguez proves once again that he is a genius! If he could only stick to making horror films and not stupid "Spy Kids" crap, he would be my favorite director.

Definitely, the best zombie comedy I have ever seen. My favorite moments are when Shaun walks to the store, hung-over and completely oblivious to the zombie apocalypse that has happened all around him.

One of the funniest and most true-to-life comedies I have ever seen. Anyone who has worked in a retail environment can appreciate this. I laugh hysterically every time I see it.

This has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Tarantino writes some of the best dialogue ever.

I love this movie! Having been a Twisted Sister fan since the early 80's, I couldn't believe it when Dee Snider actually turned his "Captain Howdy" song into a movie. Not only that, but it's a good movie as well! It has one of the most original villains and a different type of storyline than your average psycho film. Great!

WOW! This film is amazing! This is the best horror film I have seen in a long time. My expectations were not high, since I thought John Carpenter did an excellent job 30 years ago. Rob Zombie breathed new life into this franchise, filling it with gore, but managing to retain much of the suspense of the original. He even gives us a well-rounded character in Michael Myers, unlike "The Shape" from the original. You have to see this film!

This movie was amazing! I guarantee you have never seen a movie quite like this before. This really exposes the dangerous and threatening nature of fairy tales. I can't recommend this movie enough. Be warned though - if you don't like to read subtitles then you may want to steer clear.

This is a great movie! Bruce Campbell is hilarious (as always), and Coscarelli does a great job as director. It's so unbelievably far-fetched that you can't help but like it.

I love this one. Jay and Silent Bob are in top form, and the whole thing mocks religion as we know it. Perfect!

This movie is an often overlooked gem. I think this might be the best horror movie ever made. It actually gave me the creeps while I watched it (and NO movies do that!). It is very suspenseful, very well-acted, and it hits you with a number of twists at the end that really catch you off-guard. I couldn't recommend it more.

Hard to believe that there is actually a showcase movie for these two characters. And I love how Ben Affleck repeatedly makes fun of himself in this one. Hilarious!

I love the fact that Sam Raimi took his horror opus and turned in a completely different direction with this one. What a hilariously overacted monstrosity of a movie. Definitely a "B" classic.

The most perfect "rockumentary" ever filmed. It perfectly captures the backstage bickering, the enormous egos, and all the other crap that goes with rock n' roll. So what if they're not a "real" band? They're hilarious.

Thank God, Kevin Smith went back to his "Jay & Silent Bob" world for his latest movie. I am so happy knowing that I have probably not seen the last of these two idiots. What a great sequel to an equally great movie! Kevin Smith rules!

I think this might be Romero's best zombie flick, even though most critics say otherwise. I think he recaptured the claustrophobic feeling of his first movie, only this time its in the abandoned military base. And this some of Tom Savini's best gore ever!

Why does this movie get trashed so much? I thought Romero made an awesome film (with a decent budget, for once), full of awesome zombie violence and a decent story. It even has some well-known stars and some good performances. No complaints here.

Again, Tarantino's dialogue is the best. I can't praise this film enough.

This movie is awesome! As good as "40-Year-Old Virgin". Judd Apatow has a gift for getting very real performances from his actors. The way they act and react is completely sincere and usually hilarious. Definitely recommended.

Most critics say that this is Romero's definitive zombie flick. I love it, but I find it drags on a little too long. The gore is good, but not nearly as effective as "Day".

This is pretty much the perfect comedy. It has engaging and very likeable characters and a very funny story. All of the set-pieces are played brilliantly, and with complete sincerity from all of the actors. I haven't seen a comedy that made me laugh this hard in years.

All right! Finally I get to add another film to my "favorites" list. This thing is stupidly simple, but outrageously hilarious! I can't recommend this enough - I almost hurt myself laughing at it!

Awesome sequel, but not quite up to the sheer lunacy of the original. Still highly recommended though!

Another rare occurrence where the sequel outshines the original. Chock-full of amazing visual effects and awesome action sequences, this movie delivers on every level. I love it!

The original zombie/cannibal film that started them all. Romero did such a good job with the claustrophobic setting of the small farm house. This one started my love affair with zombie movies.

Pythons rule, and they make fun of the bible. What's not to like about that?

Jamie Foxx is a hoot in this one. He was funnier when he was a relatively unknown comic, than as an Oscar-nominated actor.

Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, vampires, and Salma Hayek. What more could I ask for? This is a real underrrated classic.

Not quite as good as Part one, but an excellent movie nonetheless.

This movie is a riot. How can you watch Long-duck Dong and not laugh?

Not really sure why I like this movie but I can never get tired of it.

What can I say? A perfect fantasy film, and the perfect lead-in for two more equally fantastic films. My only complaint was that it was missing some scenes from the book that I would have loved to see on the big screen - but I can't have everything.

Excellent continuation of the famous trilogy. Peter Jackson once agains shows off his cinematic brilliance.
