My Sister's Keeper

OK lesson learned never underestimate a Nick Cassavetes film.Anyone who had their heart captured by the brilliant man that brought us The Notebook will probably love this film.You go into it knowing that you are dealing with an uneasy subject matter from the get go,so as long as you have come to grips with that and have several tissues on stand by you will be fine.The cast was amazing,ALL of them.I do have to say the standout for me in this one absolutely has to be Cameron Diaz.She showed me before that she could shake the giggly girl next door image when she took on Any Given Sunday.She has proven to me once again to NOT put her into any single catagory for a film.She was a character that embraced the mother role very well and the over-bearing never want to give up on her sick child mother even better.Was what she did right or wrong who is to say?I am not God and I am dam sure not going to judge others for situations such as this because I don't like being judged either.However coming from the standpoint of being a mother myself I cannot imagine the enormity of making decisions like this and trying to justify to yourself and the world around you that you just want your child to live.There is depth and balance in this movie and a bittersweet balance that really kind of surprised me was Alec Baldwin's role,very well done.I will recommend this movie to everyone I see whenever I hear the name,you can bet on it.SEE THIS FILM!

Public Enemies

Awesome!!Bale and Depp are the yummiest duo onscreen in 2009 so far for me,that probably won't change.Anyway the film was as great as I thought it would be,I learned quite a bit and think the casting was excellent.Definitely see this movie.=)

Ip Man (Yip Man)

Awesome,Awesome movie.This has been recommended to me a few times now,finally got a chance to see it.It kicks the Badassery level way up there! Great Martial arts flick if you are a fan you want to see this one for sure.=)

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)

Awwww,So cute.The Ice Age movies never disappoint.This had all the comedy,adventure and great laughs you expect from our favorite characters ,Plus a few new ones.Take the kiddos,Great ,great summer film,perfect for the whole family.Check it out!! =)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Just as bad ass as the first.Sam's parents are hilarious,GREAT summer flick,you won't want to wait for this one to come out on dvd,see this one in the theater for all the kick ass special effects and that awesome THX sound!! =)

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price

Just saw this,it came by recommendation of my good buddy Leslie.I really don't even know where to start with this.I am utterly shocked and physically sickened at what I saw and learned about the top Richest company in America.I do believe everyone that has a Wal Mart,or a Wal Mart Supercenter in their city and town and now to every country that Wal Mart is in. ought to educate themselves on the corrupt little building where they think they are finding all their supposed "deals".I am so disgusted as a mother and a consumer,I will never once set foot again into Wal Mart afetr viewing all of this.Its almost too much to take in,all the under handed ,lying and Worst of all cheating their employees out of basic rights and making their health insurance so high they cannot afford it.People kid yourselves no more those happy go lucky commercials are funded lies.Every single one of them.Their own Global manager of 9 years lost his job and did an interview because he was sickened at seeing the horrible environments that the people in the Wal Mart Chinese factories and such were enduring.They make less than $3 a DAY and work 10-14 hour days to assemble a toy that Wal mart turns around and sells for $14.99.There is so much more I could go on,and on,.People please hear me,If you do not believe me educate yourself,I feel ashamed I didn't know alot of this was going on.But if you are a Wal Mart employee,I am sure I am preaching to the choir.If you are a woman at Wal Mart please I implore to watch this I will change your entire outlook on the place you call your job.Again,this film is a wide eye opener and will make you just absolutely sick at what goes on and how the employees at all levels are treated.A MUST SEE!

The Visitor

Really refreshing film.One of those bare bones pure ,simple suck all the glitz and Hollywood out of a movie and enjoy it for what is right before you,Just like Once,it's one of those kind of movies.Just kinds of reminds you that life is short to get along with people as well as you can,Be the best person you can be when others are in need,and most important to just follow the litle beat of your own drum,great film!

Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day

Cute and funny Frances McDormand and Amy Adams were quite the duo. =)

In Her Shoes

Great film! Another one I wish I had not waited so long to see,The cast doesnt seem like it would work but it does and amazingly well.If you have a sister grab her and watch this movie.Its awesome!

Music and Lyrics

I had avoided this movie for a long time,although I can't remember why.It was pretty good.Not the greatest ,sweetest love story you will ever see but it was worth a watch =)

King Corn

This is a kinda slow documentary,however its kinda frightening to find out that corn is in absolutely everything we are consuming.I mean EVERYTHING!!!

The Hangover

Lots of laughs from the well ensembled cast.What makes it a real kick is that there are a few of things I could actually see really happening due to a little over indulgence of Vegas and all it has to offer.Anyway lots of fun,go see it! =)

Downloading Nancy

Pretty good story,I didn't know this was based on a true story,That was kind of sad and disturbing.Its good just kind of slow.Your call on this flick =)
