It's one goddamn great true adaptation of all time. It's like reliving the moment of historical events in a totally different timeline. My most memorable events in the film was The Assasination of JFK accompanied by Bob Dylan's The Times They Are a-Changin', Vietnam War accompanied by Budapest Symphony Orchestra's Ride of the Valkyries, the attempted false murder of Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias (Matthew Goode) & the dramatic destruction of New York City. It's a great adaptation & film overall. Just a bit average in acting.
If you would ask me to give an example of a bad adaptation, Dragonball Evolution would be it. It's the worst by far. I'm a fan of the animes & comics, so I'm not being bias. Justin Chatwin (Goku) was just about the average but Emmy Rossum was surprisingly good. James Marsters (Piccolo) was being undermined by being given little dialogs. Chow Yun Fat (Master Roshi) & Joon Park (Yamcha) was absolutely horrible.
