(500) Days of Summer
PG-13
So what happened with teen flix, in the era where blonde bombshell and football player just arent as cool as they used to?
You put the same kinda film, dressed the characters in geek chic clothings, replace the spiky blonde hair with brunnette indie hair cut and put them in an some sort of design agency. oh..and let the characters grow older a little bit.
500 days of summer feels just that. Despite its appealing packaging; the muted colors, shuffled plot and good looking but not overly dead on gorgeeous casts, this film successfully proves how holywood just don't get it.
There are a few beautiful scene, but for the most part this film is just using the same formula as any romantic comedy films... just in a supposedly more arty packaging. While it desperately tries to be something that it's not, the film became sterile in the process.

A lot of beautiful and reflective moments. The talking along the street, the 'are you touching yourself?', the woman and child meeting up in the park. Genius!
