There have been many films about the trials of illegal immigrants in Europe but none have produced such an engaging story. This was helped by some convincing acting, developing the relationship between the two main characters of the reluctant local swimming instructor and the tenacious teenage Kurd seeking to enter England only to be trapped Calais's Jungle.

A taut psychological thriller between just two characters and mostly one scene that's not what you expect...

The first science-fiction action-adventure movie where the characters felt like real people in real situations, albeit in a galaxy far, far away. Rather than a fantastic distraction the ground-breaking (at the time) special effects blend in nicely with the action-filled story, as good as any classic second world war movie. It left an indelible mark on my generation.

Wow! Bond is back, and cooler, darker and more serious than anything since the Connery-era. Gone are all the silly SFX, and cheesy jokes - back to basics with a sophisticated spy thriller that reveals the plot without halting the action; even the jokes are wittily placed, plus I loved the free running!
