Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare R

My favorite Freddy flick! Although it is my favorite Freddy flick, the disappointment here is that it isn't scary. What it lacks in scaring you it makes up for by making you laugh! By this time you figure you know Freddy K pretty well after the last four or five sequels but this time he has a daughter (Lisa Zane). Naturally Freddy doesn't treat her any different for it is only one more person for him to torment. Overall, I think this film is very amusing and watchable and all the way through entertaining.

House of 1000 Corpses R

Let Roxsy take you to school... Though this is not by any means an original film you can take into count who directed it-- the amazingly talented Rob Zombie who has undying passion for older, old school horror. Remember there's two different ways to interpret this film. To those won't like the movie it's a Texas Chainsaw rip-off, to those who will love it, it is a film by an inspired horror fanatic. If you just like the movie, like I do, you can see it from either angle. House of 1000 corpses is full of entertaining characters and visuals. It also has enough shock and gore to satisfy any true horror fan just enough. My favorite part of this film was the very beginning with Cpt. Spaulding (Sid Haig) and the men trying to rob him. Definately the best opening scene I've ever come across in cinema.

The Shining R

This is a very slow-paced movie but it is also a very interesting movie with a well-worthy ending. This is the movie that got you saying "Here's Johnny" when you popped your head in the door and this is the movie to blame for all the times REDRUM randomly echoed into your head. This is Jack Nicolson in one of his best and most psychotic roles. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". You said it, brother!
